Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hydrocarbon emission control systems. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to substrates coated with hydrocarbon adsorptive coating compositions, air intake systems, and evaporative emission control systems for controlling evaporative emissions of hydrocarbons from motor vehicle engines and fuel systems.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for determining UE appropriate states by traffic type detection. In one novel aspect, a UE traffic type is determined based on a plurality of UE metrics. One or more UE settings for transmission and/or reception are adjusted based on the determined UE traffic type. The UE traffic type determination procedure and UE configuration adjustment procedure are iterated to balance performance and power saving. In one embodiment, the UE collects a plurality of UE metrics for a UE traffic profile matrix, wherein the UE traffic profile matrix is used to determine a plurality of UE traffic types based on the plurality of UE metrics. The UE determines a real-time UE traffic type based on the collected UE metrics using the UE traffic profile matrix and adjusts a set of UE configurations based on the UE traffic type when one or more predefined conditions are met.

The three-dimensional flash memory device includes: a substrate, a gate stack structure, a plurality of slit structures, a plurality of memory arrays, and a plurality of conductive pillars. The gate stack structure is located above the substrate. The plurality of slit structures extend through the gate stack structure and divide the gate stack structure into a plurality of blocks. The plurality of memory arrays are disposed in the gate stack structure of the plurality of blocks. The plurality of conductive pillars extends through the gate stack structure in the plurality of blocks, and disposed between the plurality of memory arrays and between the plurality of slit structures.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for determining AR filter coefficient and numbers of synchronization. In one novel aspect, the AR filter coefficient and times of synchronization are determined based on the temperatures of the oscillator. In one embodiment, the UE determines a temperature drift rate by collecting sets of temperatures before and after the UE in the sleep mode of the CDRX, generates one or more threshold look-up tables and performs an optimization selection based on the temperature drift rate and the one or more threshold of look-up tables, wherein the optimization selection comprising selecting an alpha coefficient and a number of subframes for synchronization. In another embodiment, the optimization selection is further determined based on a subcarrier spacing, and a channel type of being a static channel type and a fading channel type. The UE further performs an on-the-fly oscillator S-curve calibration based on the set of temperatures.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are display systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums which provide for a gesture-based method for specifying a region of a display in which to show shared content. Also disclosed are pairing methods for associating the region of the display with a content source device, methods for sharing content within the region, and methods for providing input from the region back to the content source device.

Abstract: A method for acquiring system information (SI) performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes performing a first set of operations after determining that the UE is in a radio resource control (RRC)_CONNECTED state with an active bandwidth part (BWP) not configured with a common search space (CSS) with a field searchSpaceOtherSystemInformation; and performing a second set of operations after determining that the UE is in the RRC_CONNECTED state with the active BWP configured with the CSS with the field searchSpaceOtherSystemInformation. The first set of operations includes: transmitting a first RRC message to request a required system information block (SIB) and starting a timer; and receiving, from the cell, an RRCReconfiguration message including the required SIB. The second set of operations includes: transmitting the first RRC message to request the required SIB and starting the timer; and monitoring the CSS to acquire the required SIB.

Abstract: A method for preparing a tar extract with aroma characteristics from a discarded cigarette butt includes: (1) adding the discarded cigarette butt to an extraction solvent, and carrying out subcritical fluid extraction to obtain an extraction solution; (2) carrying out vacuum filtration on the extraction solution, and carrying out vacuum distillation on the filtrate to obtain a concentrated extractum; and (3) carrying out molecular distillation on the concentrated extractum, and collecting a light fraction of the molecular distillation to obtain the tar extract with aroma characteristics. Through the subcritical fluid extraction and separation by the molecular distillation to prepare the tar extract, harmful substances in the tar are removed, and the aroma components are retained. The tar extract is applied to a cigarette to improve the aroma, smoke and taste characteristics of the cigarette.

Abstract: Electronic devices, methods, and non-transitory program storage devices for leveraging machine learning to perform improved image fusion and/or noise reduction are disclosed. When a capture request is received, a neural network may be used to perform fusion and denoising operations on a first set of captured input images. According to some embodiments, the neural network's architecture comprises: a first plurality of network layers configured to compute optical flow information between the first set of input images; a second plurality of network layers configured to perform, at least in part, the fusion and denoising operations on the first set of input images; and a third plurality of skip connections between layers of the second plurality of network layers, wherein parameters for each skip connection of the third plurality of skip connections are warped based on at least part of the optical flow information computed by the first plurality of network layers.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a user terminal includes a communication module (CM) configured to generate an initial network entry request; an antenna assembly configured to find, in response to the initial network entry request, a satellite based on a search of a sky. The search of the sky includes sequentially changing a beam pointing direction of the antenna assembly. The satellite is assigned to downlink to a geographic cell associated with the user terminal. The user terminal includes a media access control (MAC) layer component configured to generate an uplink radio frame including a random access channel (RACH) request associated with the initial network entry request at a particular portion of the uplink radio frame for the satellite.

Abstract: An optical sensing device adopted to use structured light to detect an object is provided. The optical sensing device includes a structured light projector and a sensor. The structured light projector includes a light source and at least one beam multiplication film. The light source is configured to emit a light beam. The at least one beam multiplication film is disposed on a transmission path of the light beam and is made of anisotropic refractive index material, wherein a plurality of separated light beams are produced after the light beam from the light source passes through the at least one beam multiplication film, so as to form the structured light. The sensor is configured to sense the structured light reflected from the object. Besides, a structured light projector is also provided.

Abstract: A storage management apparatus, a storage management method, a processor, and a computer system are disclosed. The storage management apparatus includes: at least one translation look-aside buffer, configured to store a plurality of cache entries, where the plurality of cache entries include a plurality of level 1 cache entries and a plurality of level 2 cache entries; and an address translation unit, coupled to the at least one translation look-aside buffer, and adapted to translate, based on one of the plurality of level 1 cache entries, a virtual address specified by a translation request into a corresponding translated address, or when the translation request does not hit any one of the plurality of level 1 cache entries, translate, based on one of the plurality of level 2 cache entries, a virtual address specified by the translation request into a corresponding translated address.

Abstract: An apparatus converts an AC power panel into a persistent DC power panel with a persistent power switch. The persistent power switch includes a removable power unit for coupling to the AC power switch in order to convert the AC power panel into a persistent DC power panel. The removable power unit can be mounted in the power panel or can be implemented as a stand-alone external device for connecting to the power panel.

Abstract: Proposed by the present disclosure are an FPGA-based resequencing analysis method and device, wherein the method comprises: receiving genomic resequencing data; using the resequencing data as an input of an FPGA, determining a comparison result in the resequencing process according to an output of the FPGA, and simultaneously performing sorting and deduplication processing on the comparison result; correcting a base quality value of the comparison result after sorting and deduplication processing; and detecting a mutation result according to the corrected comparison result. The described method may save program running time, save calculation costs, and improve resequencing efficiency.

Abstract: Some of the present embodiments provide a method for search space monitoring by a user equipment (UE). The method includes monitoring a first search space and a second search space. The method may receive, from a serving base station, a search space monitoring (de)activation message, which is transmitted by the serving base station of the UE, by monitoring the first search space. The method deactivates the monitoring of the second search space based on the received search space (de)activation message. In some of the present embodiments, each of the first and second search spaces includes one or more physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates, and monitoring the first search space and the second search space comprises decoding the one or more PDCCH candidates in each of the first search space and the second search space.

Abstract: A system and method for grading the cosmetic appearance of a test object based on multi-region determination of cosmetic defects are disclosed. The method may include grading a test object, such as, but not limited to, a computing device, for refurbishing and selling refurbished devices. In at least one embodiment, the method may include receiving, by a processing device, a plurality of images of surfaces of a test object. A region of interest in each of the plurality of images is identified and defects are identified. The cosmetic appearance of each region of interest is graded based on the identified defects and are stored. The system may include a housing with a translucent dome and a movable platform for receiving and positioning a computing device. The system may include a plurality of cameras and lights arranged to capture different views of the computing device.

Abstract: A method of performing a closed access group (CAG) selection in a non-public network (NPN) for a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a CAG cell, a first indication and a CAG identity via a System Information Block 1 (SIB1), reporting, by an Access Stratum (AS) layer of the UE, to a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) layer of the UE, the first indication and the CAG identity when a request from the NAS layer is received, and performing a cell selection or reselection procedure according to the CAG identity, wherein the first indication is associated with the CAG identity and indicates that the CAG identity is allowed to be selected manually even if the CAG identity is not included in an allowed CAG list of the UE.

Abstract: A clock gating circuit includes an input circuit, a cross-coupled pair of transistors, a first transistor of a first type and a first pull-up transistor of the first type. The input circuit is configured to set a first control signal of a first node in response to a first or second enable signal. The cross-coupled pair of transistors is coupled between the first node and an output node. The first transistor is coupled between the first and a second node. The first pull-up transistor includes a first gate terminal, a first drain terminal and a first source terminal. The first gate terminal is configured to receive an inverted clock input signal. The first drain terminal is coupled to the second node and the first transistor. The first pull-up transistor is configured to adjust a clock output signal responsive to the inverted clock input signal.

Abstract: A system provides permission controls for group messages. A system can support user accessibility by the use of a permissions that indicates that a user has accessibility needs with respect to a voice input. When a user is known to have accessibility issue with providing a voice input, a system data structure, such as a Teams directory, can indicate when specific users have special needs. The system can grant them with rights to prevent others from providing messages to a message thread. This allows that person to become a presenter of a meeting while using a message thread to give their presentation without interruption from others. The system can unlock the thread and allow others to provide messages when the user is done with their presentation. By controlling a message thread in this manner, a system can allow users having special needs to participate as a meeting presenter.
