  • Publication number: 20230197498
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of an electrostatic end effector, and methods of manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, an electrostatic end effector comprises a ceramic base, a first electrode layer coupled to the ceramic base, and a second electrode layer coupled to the ceramic base. The electrostatic end effector is configured to generate an electrostatic force upon a substrate responsive to a voltage applied to the first electrode. The electrostatic force upon the substrate may increase the friction force upon the substrate which may allow the end effector to accelerate at faster rates than current technologies allow without the substrate slipping on the end effector.

  • Publication number: 20230146239
Abstract: A series of vancomycin C-terminus guanidine modifications are disclosed that improve antimicrobial activity, enhance the durability of antimicrobial action against selection or induction of resistance, and provide two synergistic mechanisms of action independent of D-Ala-D-Ala binding that cause inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis, while inducing bacterial cell permeability. A contemplated compound contains two combined peripheral modifications, a (4-chlorobiphenyl)methyl (CBP) and C-terminus guanidine modification, that provide new treatments against not only vancomycin-sensitive, but especially vancomycin-resistant bacteria. The data demonstrate that the synergistic behavior of the peripheral modifications requires the presence of both the CBP and guanidine modifications in a single molecule versus their combined use as an equimolar mixture of singly modified compounds.

  • Publication number: 20230073824
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a self-biased divider for a clock in an integrated circuit. In one embodiment, the clock includes a VCO that generates a clock signal that is output to the self-biased divider. However, because the VCO may generate an analog clocking signal (e.g., a low amplitude sine wave of unknown common mode) to reduce jitter, the amplitude can vary which means it may not sufficiently track CMOS parameters. The clocking signals generated by the self-biased divider are used as feedback signals for DC biasing (or DC leveling). In this manner, the divider is referred to a self-biased divider since signals generated by the divider are used to perform DC biasing/leveling.

  • Publication number: 20230046289
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for automatically generating labels for sensor data. For instance, first sensor data, for a vehicle may be identified. This first sensor data may have been captured by a first sensor of the vehicle at a first location during a first point in time and may be associated with a first label for an object. Second sensor data for the vehicle may be identified. The second sensor data may have been captured by a second sensor of the vehicle at a second location at a second point in time outside of the first point in time. The second location is different from the first location. A determination may be made as to whether the object is a static object. Based on the determination that the object is a static object, the first label may be used to automatically generate a second label for the second sensor data.

  • Patent number: 11580758
Abstract: An image processing method for identifying text on production line components obtains an image to be recognized and a standard image for reference and extracts a first text area of the image to be recognized. A second text area of the standard image is obtained, and a text window is extracted based on the second text area. The method further obtains a target text area of the image to be recognized based on the first text area and the text window, and obtains a first set of first text sub-areas, and obtains a second set of second text sub-areas, by dividing the second text area into sub-windows of the text window. The method further marks the image to be recognized as a qualifying image when each first text sub-area of the first set is the same as a corresponding second text sub-area of the second set.

  • Publication number: 20230042051
Abstract: A distillation system extracts knowledge from a large pre-trained sequence-to-sequence neural transformer model into a smaller bi-encoder. The pre-trained sequence-to-sequence neural transformer model is trained to translate data from a first domain into a second domain on a large corpus. A teacher model is generated from the pre-trained model by fine-tuning the pre-trained neural transformer model on a smaller translation task with true translation pairs. The fine-tuned model is then used to generate augmented data values which are used with the true translation pairs to train the bi-encoder. The bi-encoder is used for perform cross-domain searches.
