Abstract: Various examples of the present disclosure provide a high efficient battery system, and systems and methods for intelligently discharging and charging the battery system such that an output voltage of the battery system is maintained within a predetermined voltage range. In some examples, a base board controller (BMC) is used to manage charging and discharging of the battery system. The BMC can provide both over-charging protection and over-discharging protection for the battery system.

Abstract: An oral negative-pressure therapy system includes a container and absorbent insert for the container. The container includes a baffle inside an interior of the container. A fluid passageway extends along the baffle for delivering fluid (e.g., a mixture of air and saliva) into the container. The absorbent insert for absorbing liquid (e.g., saliva) in the container may is over the baffle. At least one of the baffle and the absorbent insert is configured to maintain a fluid flow path between the baffle and the absorbent insert to maintain fluid communication between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet of the container. The absorbent insert and/or the container may be designed and constructed to burst air bubbles in the aspirated liquid. In one or more embodiments, the absorbent insert is replaceable so that a spent absorbent insert can be replaced with a new, fresh absorbent insert.

Abstract: The present invention provides a negative pressure generator comprising a vacuum pump having an intake end and an exhaust end, a soundproofing module having a compartment for accommodating the vacuum pump, the soundproofing module being configured to insulate noise and vibration generated when the vacuum pump is in operation, and a silencing tube module comprising a flexible intake tube having one open end communicating with the intake end of the vacuum pump and a flexible exhaust tube having one open end communicating with the exhaust end of the vacuum pump, the silencing tube module being configured to reduce noise generated at the intake end and/or the exhaust end of the vacuum pump when the vacuum pump is in operation. The negative pressure generator can provide a vacuum source to an oral interface device to favorably create a negative pressure environment in a user's oral cavity so that the patency of the user's upper airway is maintained.

Abstract: An electrical device includes a main body and a detachable storage module. The main body includes a first data storage unit and is operable in plural storing modes. The detachable storage module includes a second data storage unit. When the detachable storage module is connected with the main body, the detachable storage module provides electric power to the main body and the user may select one of the plural storing modes. According to the selected storing mode, the controlling unit of the main body determines whether the data is stored in the first data storage unit or the second data storage unit. By the detachable storage module, the electrical device is more user-friendly.

The photo browser allows a user to browse plural photos, and includes a user interface that shows the plural photos; a photo classification module that is activated to automatically classify the plural photos into groups according to face images contained in the plural photos and identified by the face recognition function while showing the groups of photos on the user interface for selection; and a photo transmission module that is activated to automatically pack and transmit a selected one of the groups of photos to a photo sharing platform in the cloud. The photo sharing platform includes a photo file management module that manages at least a photo folder that stores the selected group of photos.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes a method for suppressing 4D noise. The method includes calculating a first similarity map based on the similarity of one of one or more first 3D images and a second 3D image. The first and second 3D images are derived from first and second surveys, respectively. The method also includes calculating a second similarity map based on the similarity of one of the one or more first 3D images and a third 3D image, which is derived from the second survey. The method also includes calculating a third similarity map based on the similarity of first and second 4D images, which are based on differences between the 3D images. The method also includes generating a composite 4D image based at least on the first, second, and third similarity maps. The present disclosure may also include associated systems and apparatus.

The power consumption reducing method includes a connecting step, plural requesting steps, a recording step, plural detecting steps, a transmitting step, a partitioning step and a subsequent transmitting step. During the operation of a high power consumption storage component, an object file or at least one file segment of the object file is copied from the high power consumption storage component to a low power consumption storage component. When an active device requests the object file from the hard disk device, the object file is transmitted from the low power consumption storage component to the active device. Consequently, the total run time of the high power consumption storage component is reduced.

Abstract: A chip package includes a semiconductor chip, an interposer, a polymer adhesive supporting layer, a redistribution layer and a packaging layer. The semiconductor chip has a sensor device and a conductive pad electrically connected to the sensing device, and the interposer is disposed on the semiconductor chip. The interposer has a trench and a through hole, which the trench exposes a portion of the sensing device, and the through hole exposes the conductive pad. The polymer adhesive supporting layer is interposed between the semiconductor chip and the interposer, and the redistribution layer is disposed on the interposer and in the through hole to be electrically connected to the conductive pad. The packaging layer covers the interposer and the redistribution layer, which the packaging layer has an opening exposing the trench.

Abstract: A chip package includes a semiconductor chip, an interposer, a polymer adhesive supporting layer, a redistribution layer and a packaging layer. The semiconductor chip has a sensor device and a conductive pad electrically connected to the sensing device, and the interposer is disposed on the semiconductor chip. The interposer has a trench and a through hole, which the trench exposes a portion of the sensing device, and the through hole exposes the conductive pad. The polymer adhesive supporting layer is interposed between the semiconductor chip and the interposer, and the redistribution layer is disposed on the interposer and in the through hole to be electrically connected to the conductive pad. The packaging layer covers the interposer and the redistribution layer, which the packaging layer has an opening exposing the trench.

Abstract: An account creating and authenticating method is provided. Firstly, an account is created according to a face image included in a photo. A password corresponding to the face image is also generated by a service system. During an account authenticating method, an image pickup device is used to shoot a face of a login person on the spot. If the service system judges that the shot face image of the login person on the spot complies with a predetermined face image corresponding to an existing account, the login person is allowed to login into the service system and the password is displayed. In a case that the image pickup device is provided, the service system may be authenticated by inputting the password. The method of the present can simplify the process of creating and authenticating the account.

Abstract: A photo management system is provided to record occurrence dates of important events in the individual life course, classify the photos according to the occurrence dates and name the photo folders. Once the preset occurrence date of a specified event is approaching, the photo management system will remind the user of taking and storing photos. Consequently, the photo management system provides a photo book marked by individual life timing. Another photo management system is a family relationship-based photo management system for managing family relationship and sharing photos. By linking the birth date to the blood relation, linking the marriage date to the affinity relation and using the information of the face address book, the kinship between the user and others can be established to deduce the family tree.

The MEMS package includes an outer portion; an active portion attached to the outer portion, the active portion including a fluid regulating element having a moving element; and a fluidic channel at an interface of the outer portion and the active portion. The fluidic channel is formed in at least one of the outer and active portions and permits fluid communication from the MEMS package to the fluid regulating element. A method for forming a MEMS package as above is also provided. An ocular implant for treating glaucoma including an inlet tube for receiving aqueous humor; a MEMS package as above, coupled to the inlet tube; a control system to control the MEMS package; and an outlet tube for draining aqueous humor at a drainage location, is provided.

Abstract: A photo sharing system with a face recognition function is provided. The photo sharing system includes a photo browser and a photo sharing platform. The photo browser has a photo classification module for classifying plural photos according to face image contained in the plural photos, thereby generating a photo classification message. The photo classification message contains the photos having the face image of the same person. Moreover, the photo classification message may be transmitted to the photo sharing platform at the same time to be shared to the receiver corresponding to face image. By the photo sharing system, the efficacy of sharing photos will be enhanced.
