Abstract: A back-end host server unit for remote ecological environment monitoring system is designed to provide a back-end host server function for a front-end gateway unit and sensor network, such as WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) installed at a remote site such as farmland. This back-end host server unit is characterized by the capability of using a public wireless communication system, such as GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), for receiving ecological data from the front-end gateway unit and WSN system, and the capability of compiling received ecological data into webpages for posting on a website that allows the research/management personnel to browse the ecological data via a network system such as the Internet. This feature allows the research/management personnel at the local site to conveniently gather ecological data and learn the ecological conditions of the remote site.

Abstract: A bilateral sliding module and an electronic device using the same are provided. The electronic device has a top housing, a bottom housing, and the bilateral sliding module slidable connects the top housing to the bottom housing. The bilateral sliding module comprises a first guiding unit, a second guiding unit and a cross-moving device. In which, the first guiding unit is disposed on the top housing, and the second guiding unit is disposed on the bottom housing opposite the first guiding unit. The cross-moving device is disposed between the first guiding unit and the second guiding unit, such that the top housing and the bottom housing are cross-movably coupled.

Abstract: Often hierarchical bi-directionally predicted frame structures are used for encoding a video picture sequence. The frames may consist of interlacing fields. A method for encoding interlaced video, wherein inter-prediction of fields is used and reference lists are assigned to the fields for indicating reference frames or fields, comprises that, if within such reference list a reference to another frame is included, then references to both fields of the other frame are included separately in direct sequence. Further, a temporal level is assigned to each of the frames according to their display order, and for the frames of all except one temporal level the quantization parameter is higher for one type of fields than for the other type of fields.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition is disclosed in the present invention, which contains a medical material of Triticum aestivum L., a medical material of Glycyrrhizae Radix, and at least one calcium ion source. Abstract: In video coding, prediction of P- and B-frames is based on reference frames, which are indicated by reference picture lists. Scalable video coding (SVC) requires this for both, base-layer and enhancement-layer. The invention describes a decoding process for reference picture list construction for spatial enhancement layer. With just one flag of syntax modification, it provides simpler and direct reference lists construction process. By using this, complicated RPLR and other syntaxes can be skipped, and the RPLR process for spatial enhancement layer can also be avoided. The process also can be used as for error concealment when the spatial enhancement layer slice is lost.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting a snore symptom, which comprises medicinal material of Uncaria rhynchophylla. The above pharmaceutical composition of the present invention also comprises medicinal materials of Uncaria rhynchophylla, Ephedra, Prunus armeniaca, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis.

Abstract: A medical herb composition for the alleviation of cardiopulmonary ailments or the improvement of cardiopulmonary function in a mammal is disclosed. The medical herb composition comprises: Schisandra extract; Ginseng extract; Radix ophiopogonis extract; and Saliva miltiorrhiza extract. The medical herb composition comprising the extracts above is proved to be efficient in enhancing cardiopulmonary function of a mammalian patient without heart disease, enforcing energy and raising strength. Abstract: A medical herb composition for promoting the growth of hair of a mammal is disclosed. The medical herb composition comprises: an extract of Sophorae Radix; an extract of at least one vital-energy-invigorating plant; and an extract of at least one blood-nourishing plant. Moreover, the weight percentage of the extract of Sophorae Radix is 2-38, the weight percentage of the extract of the vital-energy-invigorating plant is 2-60, and the weight percentage of the extract of the blood-nourishing plant is 2-60. In addition, the medical herb composition can optionally further comprise an extract of at least one skin-pathogen-expelling plant, an extract of at least one diuresis-inducing plant, an extract of at least one heat-clearing plant, an extract of at least one spleen-invigorating plant, or/and an extract of at least one dampness-removing plant. Abstract: A wireless pneumatic safe device includes an actuated tube mounted on a lower edge of an electric rolling door. The actuated tube has a closed chamber longitudinally defined therein. A hose communicates with the chamber. A control unit is mounted on the electric rolling door. The hose is further connected to the control unit for transmitting a compressed air from the actuated tube to the control unit. The control unit transmits a disconnection signal or a reversal signal when receiving the compressed air from the actuated tube. A radio receiver is mounted to and electrically connected to a motor. The radio receiver transmits a disconnection order or a reversal order to the motor for stopping or reversely operating the electric rolling door for achieving a purpose of safety when receiving the disconnection signal/the reversal signal from the control unit.

A multiplicity of parallel finger-like n-wells is formed in the p-type region. The fingers are connected to a conductive region at one end.

Abstract: A faucet having an infrared sensor-actuated adjustable valve for automatic control of the discharge of water in response to the user's hands being positioned below the discharge spout. The infrared sensor is activated to control a solenoid valve thereinside. A manual valve mechanism is also provided for effecting a discharge of water by manual control of a single-axis stem during periods when the sensor is inoperative. The temperature of the water discharge created by actuation of either the automatic valve or the manual valve is established by rotation of the stem.
