    Abstract: A method and apparatus for occlusion area detection based on block difference associated with a motion vector and a predicted block difference are disclosed. For each current block of a frame, motion estimation is performed based on a temporally previous frame and a temporally subsequent frame. Based on the motion vector derived, two reference blocks of the current block are located in the temporally neighboring frames. The block difference between these two reference blocks is calculated for the current block. By comparing the block difference with a predicted block difference of the current block, the current block is determined to be an occlusion block or not accordingly. The predicted block difference is updated by averaging the block difference of neighboring blocks in a non-motion boundary area.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system for transferring real-time audio/video stream. The system comprises a mobile device, a server and a client terminal. The mobile device comprises a recording module, a fragmented media data (FMD) codec, a segmented media data (SMD) codec and a wireless communication module. The recording module records an event on the scene and generates a real-time video stream. The FMD codec encodes the real-time video stream into fragmented media data comprising a start fragment information, at least one media fragment and a media fragment (MF) random access point. The SMD codec directly segments the fragmented media data into a plurality of segmented media data, which are a start segment and at least one play segment. The SMD codec automatically and sequentially transmits the segmented media data to the server. Finally, the server pushes the segmented media data to the client terminal for play through a browser.

    Abstract: A hydroponic device includes a water tank, a drain pan, a hydroponic module and a light emitting diode module. The water tank delivers water to the drain pan via a drain pump. The water is then dispensed to each pot body of the hydroponic module. Each pot body includes an inner pot and an outer pot. Water inside the inner pot will flow to the outer pot through the draining hole. Water will flow out of an overflow outlet and re-enter the water tank if the water level is higher than the overflow outlet. The light emitting diode module is disposed above the hydroponic module.

A whitening unit generates covariance matrix by computing covariance according to a received sampling signal. A covariance matrix generates a whitening matrix by a computation of an inverse square root matrix calculation unit. An ORICA calculation unit computes the sampling signal and the whitening matrix to obtain a post-whitening sampling signal. The post-whitening sampling signal and an unmixing matrix implement an independent component analysis computation to obtain an independent component data. An ORICA training unit implements training of the unmixing matrix according to the independent component data to generate a new unmixing matrix. The ORICA calculation unit may use the new unmixing matrix to implement an independent component analysis computation. Hardware complexity and power consumption can be reduced by sharing registers and arithmetic calculation units.

    Abstract: A method and system for transferring real-time audio/video stream (AVS) is provided. The method for transferring real-time AVS includes the following steps of: first, receiving a real-time AVS by a server; transforming the real-time AVS into a fragmented media data (FMD) and storing the FMD in a storage module of the server, wherein the FMD comprises a starting-point, an overall fragment information and at least one media fragment (MF); next, generating a segmented media data (SMD) by encapsulating the FMD when the server receives a playback command. The step of generating the SMD comprises encapsulating the starting-point and the overall fragment information into an initial segment information of the SMD. Each playable segment of the SMD has multiple MFs and a segment index recording segment order to indicate each MF. The final step is to transfer the SMD to browser software for playback.
