    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner nozzle is connectable to a vacuum cleaner via a connection hose to form an airflow passage of a vacuum cleaner set. The vacuum cleaner nozzle is composed of multiple pieces. The configuration of the vacuum cleaner nozzle is at least changeable between a large-area sucking mouth and a small-area slit-like sucking mouth according to the actual operation conditions of different environments to be cleaned. Therefore, it is no more necessary to frequently replace the vacuum cleaner nozzles and the vacuum cleaner can be more conveniently used.

    Abstract: A control and sensing system for diffusion optical tomography and a method for operating the same are disclosed. The control and sensing system includes a control unit and a sensing circuit with a plurality of light sources and sensors, each light source being surrounded by a corresponding predetermined number of the sensors. The control unit instructs the light sources to individually emit light to an object, so the object generates a plurality of optical signals, and instructs the predetermined number of the sensors corresponding to each light source to receive the optical signals and transmit them to the control unit, thereby reducing the complexity of the control and sensing system.

    Abstract: An image processing unit for optical tomography is applicable in miniaturized diffusion optical tomography devices. It includes an image reconstructor and an image post-processor. The image reconstructor receives a plurality of optical signals generated from an reaction of an object under test with irradiating light and an inverse solution matrix of an image model of the object, and obtains scalar product on each of the optical signals and the inverse solution matrix through a sub-frame algorithm to generate an original image corresponding to the object. Then, the image post-processor performs a Gaussian extended algorithm on the original image to output a final image. With the image reconstruction and image post-processing of the present invention, slowing down of computation speed due to miniaturization of the conventional optical tomography techniques can be avoided, while providing good quality in the output image.

    Abstract: A device and method for diffusion optical tomography are disclosed. The device includes a sensing circuit with a plurality of light sources and sensors and an optical tomography element having a control unit, a computation unit and an image reconstruction unit. First, the computation unit constructs an image model of an object using optical parameters of the object, and performs decomposition on the image model. Then, the control unit instructs the light sources to emit light to the object, and receives a plurality of optical signals generated by the object in response to the light. Finally, the image reconstruction unit combines the optical signals and the decomposed image model and reconstructs an image of the object based on the combination of the optical signals and the decomposed image model.

The primary coil is wrapped around the winding portion of the winding frame and connected to the first pins. The insulating cover is fitted over the primary coil. The secondary coil is wrapped around the insulating cover and connected to the second pins. The core assembly is arranged on the winding frame. A transformer assembling method is also disclosed. The coil wrapping process for the transformer can be expedited and associated cost can be reduced.

A notch is formed on the fringe portion of the barrier. The primary coil is wrapped in the first winding groove, and the secondary coil is wrapped in the second winding groove. The notched barrier increases the creepage distance between the primary coil and the secondary coil in meeting the safety standards.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a configurable hierarchical comma-free Reed-Solomon decoding circuit and a method thereof. The design is based on an original hierarchical parallel architecture which not only completes a decoding process faster than conventional decoder, but also utilizes less hardware to perform various algorithms with less power consumed. The architecture of the present invention has higher decoding rate than the conventional systolic architecture by a cycle ratio of 22 to 94. Further, the present invention does not require the use of ROM to store 64 sets of codewords and uses logic gates less than one fourth of the logic gates than conventional systolic architecture. As a result, the circuit of the present invention occupies less area than the conventional architecture. The circuit of the present invention is also configurable for different applications, so it can always find an optimal compromise between speed and power consumption for various decoding requirements.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of identifying a serotype of Klebsiella pneumoniae, in particular to a method using specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primer sets designed according to a fragment of a capsular polysaccharide synthesis (cps) region to identify a K57 or a NTUH-N1 serotype and its application. NTUH-N1 is a novel serotype which differs from the previously reported 77 serotypes. This PCR-based cps genotyping method not only solves the problems of insufficient specificity and sensitivity caused by conventional immune method, but can be applied in clinical diagnosis with the advantages of rapidity and low cost. In addition, the rate of unidentifiable strains can also be reduced by this method.
