  • Publication number: 20040140946
Abstract: A video player includes a CPU adapted to receive video data from an external electronic apparatus, two memories, and a video encoder connected to a video output device. The CPU stores video data from the external electronic apparatus in a first memory at first, and then stores received video data in a second memory when the first memory fully occupied, and at the same time transfers storage video data from the first memory to the video output device through the video encoder, and then switches the storage path to store received video data in the first memory again when the second memory fully occupied, and at the same time, transfers storage video data from the second memory to the video output device through the video encoder, for enabling all received video data to be completely transmitted to the video output device for output in the form of a moving picture.

  • Patent number: 6690352
Abstract: A multi-mode input control device for use with a computer via a graphic user interface (GUI) is disclosed. The input control device may optionally perform functions of a mouse device and a trackball device. The mouse and trackball devices share the same key switch, control unit, interface circuit, and signal channel to the computer, which are included in the mouse device. In the mouse mode, the mouse device is individually moved to perform the input control operation in a conventional manner. For the trackball mode, a first signal connector of the trackball device and a second signal connector of the mouse device are connected to each other so that the trackball device can perform the input control operation via the mouse device.

  • Patent number: 6555995
Abstract: An extended jacket with video input and output comprises a CF extended card unit, a digital camera connector, a video input connector, a video input handling unit, a universal connector, a video data storage unit, a read/write control unit, a video data output handling unit, a far end remote control unit and a power supply unit. The extended jacket can output the video signal to a display device (VGA S-VHS/COMPOSITE VIDEO) via an universal connector or the external video signal is imported into the operation system to be edited and treated and is temporarily saved or output to the display device with an added function of CF card extension and an added remote control device for controlling the display on the display device. Additionally, an independent power supply system is equipped internally to prevent a problem resulting from an increased power consumption demands of the PDA and provide a function for facilitating hot insertion and extraction therein.

  • Patent number: 6532799
Abstract: A system for in-situ and on-line monitoring of a preform layup process for liquid composite molding allows for gathering of permeability measurements of a fabric preform for use in a liquid composite molding process after situation of the preform within the mold wherein the molding process is to occur. The system uses a plurality of pressure sensors located within one of the mold sections of the liquid composite molding process mold. The sensors take pressure measurements which are processed to obtain a permeability profile of the preform. From such data, any local permeability variations that are caused from defects in the preform, deformation of the preform, or from mold misfit can be noted and acted upon before resin flow. The system is relatively simple to use and is easy to implement.

  • Patent number: 6247075
Abstract: A mouse interface converter is provided, which allows a mouse to be connectable to a computer system, such as a personal computer (PC), installed with either an RS-232 serial port or a PS/2 port. This mouse interface converter allows the mouse to be connected directly to PS/2 port and via an adapter to RS-232 serial port. The mouse interface converter includes a mode-detection circuit for detecting which type of port the mouse is currently being connected. The mode-detection circuit can generate a mode-indicating signal indicative of the type of the currently connected port, which is then used to set a control circuit to convert the mouse data to the corresponding format. The mouse interface converter further includes a driving circuit that allows the mouse to be more compatible with various signals of either the PS/2 port or the RS-232 serial port. This feature allows the mouse to be considerably reduced in power consumption that allows the mouse to be suitable for use on notebook computers.
