    Abstract: An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes a first pod and a controller. The first pod includes multiple Optical Add-Drop Sub-systems (OADS) configured to transmit data between corresponding servers through ToR switches. First transmission modules of the OADSs are connected to each other in ring to form the first transmission ring. Second transmission modules of the OADSs are connected to each other in ring to form the second transmission ring. The controller is configured to set the ToR switches in order to build the optical tunnel from a first OADS to a second OADS on the second transmission ring by the second transmission modules if a disconnection occurs to the optical tunnel from the first OADS to the second OADS on the first transmission ring.

    Abstract: An electronic box fastening mechanism includes a box body, a first hook, a second hook and a resilient hook. The box body includes a mounting surface. The first hook and the second hook are at two opposite sides of the mounting surface, and they form an installation space for receiving a guide rail. The resilient hook is at one side of the second hook. The resilient hook includes a resilient arm, a contact section and a deformation space. When pressed by the guide rail, the contact section bends toward the deformation space to allow the guide rail to be inserted in the installation space, the contact section resiliently contacts the guide rail by using an elastic restoring force of the resilient arm, and the first hook and the second hook block the guide rail, so that the guide rail is prevented from being detached from the installation space.

    Abstract: A method for producing a polyester includes: a) preparing a first monomer represented by Formula (1) for example—bis(?-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET); and b) preparing a second monomer represented by Formula (2) represented by Formula (2)—2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl 2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate (BHEET). The prepared first and second monomer are then mixed to form a mixture, and then the mixture is subjected to a pre-polymerization reaction at a first temperature not higher than 230° C. to form a prepolymer while a glycol compound represented by Formula (3) wherein R independently represents hydrogen, a C1-C6 linear or branched alkyl group, or phenyl; is continuously removed by distillation. The method also includes subjecting the prepolymer to a polymerization reaction at a second temperature higher than the first temperature to obtain the polyester.

    Abstract: A hot spot defect detecting method and a hot spot defect detecting system are provided. In the method, hot spots are extracted from a design of a semiconductor product to define a hot spot map comprising hot spot groups, wherein local patterns in a same context of the design yielding a same image content are defined as a same hot spot group. During runtime, defect images obtained by an inspection tool performing hot scans on a wafer manufactured with the design are acquired and the hot spot map is aligned to each defect image to locate the hot spot groups. The hot spot defects in each defect image are detected by dynamically mapping the hot spot groups located in each defect image to a plurality of threshold regions and respectively performing automatic thresholding on pixel values of the hot spots of each hot spot group in the corresponding threshold region.

During operation, this access point receives a message that may include a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) response with an Internet protocol (IP) address of a gateway for an electronic device to access a network and a media access control (MAC) address of the electronic device. Based on the MAC address and/or at least a characteristic of the electronic device (such as a configuration, a capability and/or an operating system of the electronic device), the access point may determine a different IP address of another gateway for the electronic device to access the network. Moreover, the access point may modify the DHCP response by substituting the IP address of the other gateway for the IP address of gateway in a modified DHCP response. Next, the access point provides the modified DHCP response to the electronic device.

Actively-controlled flow regulators comprising balloon, occluder and reservoir can be individually or collectively equipped on the drainage and/or infusion cannulas to accomplish the goal of maximizing VV ECMO support efficacy. Three specific embodiments are introduced to illustrate the practical enforcement of the proposed blood flow control in reference to the heart rhythm, aiming at achieving the maximal reduction of oxygenated blood flow recirculating back to the VV ECMO circuit.

The switch unit outputs a mains voltage in a line mode, and output an alternating conversion voltage in a battery mode. The control apparatus is configured to generate a base triangular wave signal according to the mains voltage. When the uninterruptible power system is in a battery mode and the control apparatus detects the regeneration of the mains voltage, the control apparatus is configured to determine whether a cross-over value of the base triangular wave signal is within a predetermined range when the mains voltage is at a zero-cross point. The control apparatus is configured to control the switch unit to output the mains voltage instead of the alternating conversion voltage when the cross-over value of the base triangular wave signal is within the predetermined range.
