  • Publication number: 20050120835
Abstract: A socket tool includes a handle and a socket is movably mounted to one of two ends of the handle. A groove and a plurality of notches are defined in the outer periphery of the end of the handle. The socket has two passages defined through a wall of the socket and an angel is defined between each one of the passages and a radius of the socket. A positioning pin extends through the wall of the socket and is engaged with the groove of the handle. The two passages are located at two different longitudinal positions from an end of the socket. A bead and a spring are respectively received in each of the passages, and one of the two beads is engaged with one of the notches by moving the socket on the end of the handle. Each of the two beads engaged with the notch decides the direction that the socket drives an object accommodated in the socket.

  • Patent number: 6899000
Abstract: A wrench includes an open end which includes two jaws and a connection portion connected between the two jaws. A clamping portion is defined in an inside of each jaw and located close to a first side of each jaw. A loose portion is defined in the inside of each jaw and located close to a second side of each jaw. A width between the two respective loose portions of the two jaws is wider than a width between the two respective clamping portions of the two jaws. A pushing tongue is located between the two jaws. A nut can be clamped by the clamping portions of the two jaws by compressing the pushing tongue, and is freely rotatable relative to the open end when located in a space enclosed by the loose portions.

  • Patent number: 6895837
Abstract: A wrench structure includes a wrench body having a handle portion. The handle portion is formed with a reinforcement portion having a first side formed with a first holding portion and a second side formed with a second holding portion. The first holding portion has a plane vertical to that of the second holding portion. Thus, the user's hand and the holding portion of the wrench body have a larger contact area, so that the holding portion of the wrench body can apply a larger force and torque to drive and rotate the workpiece, such as the nut or the like.

  • Patent number: 6886428
Abstract: A control mechanism for a ratchet tool includes a switch pivotably received in a chamber in the head of the tool and a pawl is received in a recess so as to be matched with a gear wheel in the head. The pawl is located at located at a mediate portion of a depth of the chamber in the head. The switch has two holes in each of which a pushing member a spring are received. The pushing member is received in the hole and covered by an inside of the chamber when the switch is not pivoted. The user may push either one of two ends of the pawl toward the chamber to shift one of the pushing members to be in alignment with one of the convex portions. The pushing member that is shifted pushes the convex portion and pivots the pawl to be matched with the gear wheel.

  • Publication number: 20050076753
Abstract: A adjustable spanner includes a main body having a first end formed with a handle portion and a second end formed with a drive portion having a fixed jaw, a movable jaw movably mounted on the drive portion relative to the fixed jaw, and a torque detection device mounted on the main body to detect a torque of the adjustable spanner. Thus, the torque detection device is mounted on the connection of the handle portion and the drive portion having a smaller structural strength, so that the torque detection device can detect the torque of the adjustable spanner exactly and sensitively.

  • Patent number: 6874391
Abstract: A one-way ratchet wrench includes a wrench body, a ratchet wheel, an elastic member, and a pawl member. Thus, the elastic member limits transverse and longitudinal movement of the locking portion of the pawl member, so that the pawl member is positioned rigidly and stably. In addition, the locking portion of the pawl member is rested on a side of the elastic member, thereby preventing the elastic member from producing fatigue.
