    Abstract: In a method for determining ricochet vectors of a probe of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) using a computing device, the computing device sets an approach distance between the probe and a manufactured object. Coordinates of a center of the probe and an initial vector of the probe for each measurement point of the manufactured object are obtained when the probe is manually operated to measure the manufactured object. A measurement element of the manufactured object is fit according to all measurement points of the manufactured object. For each measurement point, an approach point of the manufactured object is calculated, a position relation between the approach point and the measurement element of the manufactured object is determined, and a ricochet vector of the probe is calculated according to the position relation.

If a program segment is in the title state, the icon, a name, and a first line of program codes of the program segment is displayed on an interface provided by the electronic device. If the program segment is in the opened state, the computing device displays all program codes of the program segment on the interface.

    Abstract: A computing device is connected to a measurement device including a projector, a left camera and a right camera. The projector is controlled to project gratings with a number M of frequencies on an object. The left camera captures a number N of left grating images, and the right camera captures a number N of right grating images of the gratings with each of the frequencies. A luminous intensity of each pixel in each of the left grating images and the right grating images is computed. According to the luminous intensity of each pixel in each of the left grating images, a first phase grayscale image is obtained. According to the luminous intensity of each pixel in each of the right grating images, a second phase grayscale image is obtained. A matched image is obtained by matching the first phase grayscale image and the second phase grayscale image.

By integrating the measuring information of each of the one or more geometrical elements into a predefined program model, a measurement program can be generated and displayed on a display device.

    Abstract: In a method for processing a point cloud using a computing device, a straight line fitted by the point cloud comprising border points is determined as a benchmark line. An inflection point in the point cloud of the benchmark line is determined. If the vertical distance of the inflection point is not greater than the preset filtration value, needless border points in the point cloud are deleted and a remainder point cloud is obtained. If the vertical distance between the inflection point and the benchmark line is greater than a filtration value, the point cloud is divided into two sub-point clouds, and the one sub-point cloud having border points less than the preset number is deleted, and the other sub-point cloud is set as a remainder point cloud.

    Abstract: In a method for simulating a three-dimensional (3D) model of a workpiece using an electronic device, the method meshes a 3D model using triangles, and outputs a first sequence of triangles of the 3D model. The method further normalizes vertexes of each of the triangles in the first triangle sequence, and obtains a meshed model of the workpiece. A 2D image of the workpiece is divided and a second sequence of triangles of the divided 2D image is obtained. The method further traverses the second sequence of triangles and obtains a pixel set and vertex coordinates of each of the triangles in the second sequence, and electronically pastes each of the triangles in the second sequence to a corresponding position in the meshed 3D model. The pasted 3D model is displayed on a display device.

A CCD of the measuring device is positioned at the top of an initial focusing range, then moves to the bottom of the initial focusing range at a first speed to capture first images of the object. Image points corresponding to each focusing point in the first images are identified to compute coordinates of a first focal point of each focusing point. The initial focusing range is updated according to Z-coordinates of the first focal points. The CCD is positioned at the bottom of the updated focusing range, then, moves to the top of the updated focusing range at a second speed to capture second images of the object. Image points corresponding to each focusing point in the second images are identified to compute coordinates of a second focal point of each focusing point.

    Abstract: In a three-dimensional image models generating method, a two-dimensional point cloud model and a two-dimensional image of an object are acquired and aligned. A triangular mesh surface of the point cloud model is constructed and each triangle in the triangular mesh surface is assigned with an identifier. The image is divided into a plurality of triangles according to the triangle in the triangular mesh surface, and each triangle in the image is correspondingly assigned with an identifier. The triangular mesh surface is converted from a two-dimensional point cloud model to a three-dimensional point cloud model. After adjusting sizes of the triangle of the image, each triangle of the image is pasted onto a corresponding triangle of the three-dimensional point cloud model according to the identifiers, to generate a three-dimensional image model.

    Abstract: In a point cloud reduction method, a point cloud model and a predetermined reduction ratio are received, and a boundary box of the point cloud model is computed and divided into a plurality of grids according to the predetermined reduction ratio. A point set which includes points in the one or more adjacent grids is obtained and a plane which intersects with a center point of the point set and takes a feature vector of the point set as a normal vector is constructed. A curvature of each point in the point set to the constructed plane is computed, and then an average curvature is computed according to the curvature of each point. Points can be deleted from the point set according to differences between the curvatures of the points in the point cloud model with the average curvature, to generate a reduced point cloud model.

    Abstract: In a method of a computing device for calibrating light channels, one or more channel options of an illumination selecting unit of the computing device are selected to turn on the one or more light channels of a light source device. A camera unit captures a first image of the light source device. A zone and a serial number of each light channel are marked on the first image. Each channel option of the illumination selecting unit is eliminated. The camera unit captures a second image of the light source device when a light channel is turned off. The first image and the second image are compared, and a correlation between the light channel that is turned off and the eliminated channel option is determined. The serial numbers of the channel options are modified and remapped according to correlations between each light channel and each channel option.

    Abstract: A method for applying accuracy compensation to a rotating measuring machine, a rotatable angular range of the machine is divided into sub-ranges. Each of the sub-ranges is selected, and the rotating measuring machine is rotated to an angle within the selected sub-range. After rotating, images of a working platform of the rotating measuring machine are captured to generate a point cloud. An initial plane is fitted according to the point cloud, and then an actual plane of the working platform is computed according to the initial plane, by iteration. An ideal plane of the working platform is obtained in CAD models of the rotating measuring machine, to compute a deviation angle between vectors of the actual plane and the ideal plane. When the deviation angle is less than a predetermined angle, the selected sub-range and the deviation angle are recorded into a form of a compensation report.

The method calibrates a radius value of the selected probe head, and calibrates the deviation between the center point of the selected probe head and the focus of the camera lens.
