    Abstract: A monitor opening mechanism includes a first rotating shaft rotatably connected to a host and having a first toothed portion. A stepper motor is disposed in the host and includes a second rotating shaft having a second toothed portion engaging the first toothed portion. A fine-tuning control circuit board is electrically connected to the stepper motor. A first fine-tuning key is electrically connected to the fine-tuning control circuit board. When the first fine-tuning key is operated, the fine-tuning control circuit board drives the second rotating shaft to rotate, forcing the monitor to rotate with respect to the host in a first direction. A second fine-tuning key is electrically connected to the fine-tuning control circuit board. When the second fine-tuning key is operated, the fine-tuning control circuit board drives the second rotating shaft to rotate, forcing the monitor to rotate with respect to the host in a second direction.

    Abstract: A reflective sheet detector includes first and second guide plates constituting a sheet travelling path, an emitter, a receiver and a reflecting portion. The emitter is disposed on a first side of the sheet travelling path and close to a first input opening of the first guide plate. The receiver is disposed on the first side and close to a first output opening of the first guide plate. The reflecting portion is disposed on a second side of the sheet travelling path opposite the first side and is close to the second guide plate. The emitter outputs a signal to the reflecting portion through the first input opening and a second input opening of the second guide plate, and the reflecting portion reflects the signal to the receiver through a second output opening of the second guide plate and the first output opening.

    Abstract: A scan module and a scanner using the same are provided. The scanner includes a housing and a scan module. The housing has a scan platform for supporting a to-be-scanned document. The scan module disposed inside the housing includes a light emitting diode (LED) light source, a reflector and an optical module. The LED light source for emitting a light beam is directed towards the reflector. The reflector is for reflecting the light beam, and the light beam reflected by the reflector is projected on the to-be-scanned document. The optical module is for receiving the light beam reflected from the to-be-scanned document placed on the scan platform. The light beam emitted by the LED light source is reflected by the reflector at least once before arriving at the to-be-scanned document.

    Abstract: An electric socket includes an insulating main member, two check securing devices, and a release device. The insulating main member has apertures thereon and electrodes behind the apertures. The check securing device is provided in the insulating main member having a suspended flexible section sloping toward a bottom end of the aperture. When a plug has prongs inserted into the apertures, the prongs will bend the flexible section of the check securing device inwards. An interference condition will be occurred between the prong and the flexible section when the plug is pulled out. The release device is provided on the insulating main member for manipulation. The release device has a arm pressing the flexible section of the check securing device bending inwards when it is pressed for releasing the interference condition between the prong and the flexible section.
