  • Patent number: 7080821
Abstract: A valve with a structure limiting of the turning angle of the valve knob includes a valve and knob installed on the valve. The valve contains a raised tube, which contains a globe valve brake axle protruding in the center; and the knob contains a connecting groove which can be affixed to the top of the globe valve brake axle. One side of the raised tube of the valve forms a section of fillister plane along the circumference, and two crosswise ends of the fillister plane form first and second blades vertically. The bottom of the connecting groove of the knob forms an expanded groove, and one side of the fillister plane forms an inner protrusion. The structure of the turning angle of the knob is completed concealed inside the knob.

  • Patent number: 7042253
Abstract: A frequency synthesizer for dual-band high frequency RF application. The frequency synthesizer first uses a frequency-locked loop circuit (“FLL”) to achieve self-calibration and frequency-locking, and then uses a phase-locked loop circuit (“PLL”) to achieve phase-locking. During the FLL, the PLL is de-activated by control signals from the digital control and state machine of the FLL. The varactor of the VCO is initially connected to a fixed voltage, thus isolating the varactor from the PLL. The FLL adjusts the VCO's capacitor array by varying the five binary control bits from the state machine and digital control, until frequency-locking and self-calibration is achieved. Then, those five binary weighting control bits are also fixed for the VCO. The PLL is then activated to perform a fine-tuning and phase-locking loop, where the varactor of the VCO is controlled by the signal from the charge pump and the low-pass filter.

  • Patent number: 6978985
Abstract: A non-sectional locking buffer device. The device utilizes a screw ascending and descending principle as a buffering function, wherein ball bearings or outer screw grooves are configured on a central shaft of the buffer device to operate in coordination with inner screw grooves or ball bearings configured on an inner wall of a buffer chamber. The inner and outer screw mechanisms rely on slippage of the ball bearings in the screw grooves, to reduce a jolting force from repositioning or returning of an upright support, thereby reducing buffer malfunction.

  • Publication number: 20050207520
Abstract: A system for clock and data recovery (“CDR”) includes a clock generator, a half-rate phase detector for receiving the input data, an encoder, a phase selector outputting recovered clock, a confidence counter, and a multiplexer outputting recovered data. The clock generator generates an 8-phase clock signal at half a rate of the transmitted serial data. The phase detector samples input data at four times the standard sampling rate, takes the oversampled data and detects phase transitions therein, i.e., phase lead and lag. The encoder encodes the phase transition data. The confidence counter receives the phase transition data and generates a signal representing the accumulated net effect of the phase transitions. The phase selector receives the confidence counter signal and the 8-phase clock from the clock generator, and determines the optimum phase for data sampling.

  • Patent number: 6925415
Abstract: A measuring method and system for liquid crystal display driver chips applies a new method to measure voltages of driver chips, and utilizes probability and statistics for analysis and determination so as to yield a rather accurate effect even under noisy environments. Accordingly, analog-to-digital converters can be replaced for faster sampling. The measuring method and system can be implemented using comparator circuits or pin electronics cards so that the measuring procedure for driver chips is simplified. Measured results are analyzed and verified by application of probability and statistics. As such, testing of liquid crystal display driver chips is more accurate, testing time is reduced, and accuracy level is promoted.
