    Abstract: A multiple-output clock source signal generator for use with a fiber-optic communication apparatus for multi-dwelling units (MDU) includes a piezoelectric crystal, an input capacitor, an output capacitor, and a buffer unit having output ends. The piezoelectric crystal, the input capacitor, and the output capacitor are connected to the buffer unit so as to form a feedback circuit whereby the piezoelectric crystal oscillates and generates clock source signals to be output from the output ends, respectively. The multiple-output clock source signal generator is advantageously characterized by low costs and multiple output.

The insulating body is used to cover the wire-lock apertures at the top surface of the wire connector housing, and the insulating protrusion is designed and constructed to fit into the fixed hole of the wire connector housing. The wire-lock apertures of the wire connector housing are all covered and insulated to prevent electrical shock from the electrical leakage through the exposed apertures.

    Abstract: A carrier for transmitting a high frequency signal and a carrier layout method thereof are provided. The carrier includes a substrate, conducting wires and reference planes both formed on the substrate. The carrier layout method includes defining impedance and thickness of the carrier according to the high frequency signal and defining layout parameters according to the impedance and the thickness. The layout parameters include a conducting layer formed on the conducting wires, a coplanar waveguide encompasses both the reference planes and the conducting wires as a part thereof, roughness portions formed on the conducting wires, recessed portions formed on the conducting wires, and the substrate being a high loss tangent substrate. The layout is performed according to the layout parameters defined thereabove, so as to increase loss of the high frequency signal in transmission.

    Abstract: A waterproofing test device tests waterproofing performance of a unit under test (UUT). The UUT has thereon a test recess and an aperture. The aperture is hermetically sealed with a gas-permeable waterproof element. The waterproofing test device includes a carrying jig, a water-supplying unit, and a pressure-applying unit. The carrying jig carries the UUT and has a hermetic sealing portion and a gas-discharging through-hole disposed within the hermetic sealing portion. The water-supplying unit is disposed in the carrying jig and provided with a water outlet corresponding in position to the aperture of the UUT. The pressure-applying unit provides internal negative pressure for the UUT by discharging gas therefrom and tests internal pressure of the UUT. Further provided is a waterproofing test method for use with the device. Given the device and method, a waterproofing performance test can be performed on a UUT with an aperture or fissure by gas discharging.
