  • Publication number: 20130034332
Abstract: A casing for a communication device includes a first casing and a second casing and receives a circuit board. A power element and an optical fiber element are mounted on the circuit board. A baffle is disposed in the first casing and corresponds in position to the optical fiber element for forming an insulating space in the vicinity thereof and thereby insulating the optical fiber element from the power element. With the casing, the optical fiber element that differs from the power element in an operating temperature range or heat dissipation requirement is insulated from the power element, such that the optical fiber element and the power element are provided with appropriate operating temperatures, respectively, and thus can operate well. The casing prevents cooling fins and thermal grease from deteriorating in performance after long use. The baffle and the first casing are integrally formed as a unitary structure.

  • Publication number: 20130018627
Abstract: A method for measuring speed involves calculating and measuring speed of an object based on a distance and a time obtained by a method for measuring distance and a method for measuring time, respectively. The time between distance measuring sessions is obtained using the cycle number of a reference signal based on a clock mask synchronous with the distance measuring sessions. The time is corrected according to a plurality of phase shift signals generated based on the reference signal. An error of the time is minimized by increasing the quantity of the phase shift signals. The method enhances the accuracy of the measured time between distance measuring sessions, speeds up speed measurement, and reduces the required circuit areas. • Patent number: 8351189
Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a body, a casing, and a resilient element. The casing accommodates the body such that the body can slide within the casing. The casing has an opening through which an electrical connection unit connected to the body protracts out of, or retracts into, the casing. The resilient element has an end connected to the casing and another end abutting against the body. The resilient element exerts a resilient restoring force upon the body in response to the sliding of the body. The casing has a stop structure configured to operate in conjunction with an engagement structure of the body and thereby limit the range of the sliding of the body. The engagement structure can be disengaged from the stop structure to separate the body from the casing. Accordingly, the portable electronic device has multiple uses, namely quick maintenance, easy assembly, body protection, and automatic accommodation.
