Abstract: Disclosed are exendin-3 or exendin-4 derivatives modified with biotin, a preparation method thereof and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same. More specifically, disclosed are exendin-3 or exendin-4 derivatives in which the lysine residue of exedin is modified with biotin. The disclosed exendin-3 or exendin-4 derivatives modified with biotin show biological activity similar to that of native exendin and at the same time, have increased in vivo stability and are easily absorbed through the mucosa. Thus, biotin-modified exendin-3 or exendin-4 derivatives are useful for treating diseases, which can be caused by the excessive secretion of insulin, the lowering of plasma glucose, the inhibition of gastric or intestinal motility, the inhibition of gastric or intestinal emptying or the inhibition of food intake. Particularly, the biotin-modified exendin-3 or exendin-4 derivatives are useful for the treatment of diabetes, obesity and irritable bowel syndromes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are exendin singly modified with polyethylene glycole or a derivative thereof, a method for the preparation of the same, and uses thereof. Exendin modified at lysine (27) with polyethylene glycol shows biological activity similar to that of natural exendin, but is improved in half life. In addition, the modification position and the number of PEG or its derivative are restricted so as to minimize the side effects caused by a variety of combinations of such factors. The exendin is useful in the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by the over-secretion of insulin, or diseases caused due to a decrease in plasma glucose level, the inhibition of gastric or intestinal motility, the promotion of satiety, or the inhibition of food intake, especially diabetes, obesity and irritable colon syndrome.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treating chronic hepatitis B, containing clevudine and adefovir dipivoxil. The combined formulation of the present invention maximizes the effect for treating diseases caused by infection of hepatitis B virus and shows a mutual inhibitory activity against a resistant virus compared with a single-component formulation.

Abstract: A two-factor authenticated key exchange method. A subscriber station transmits a value generated by using an identifier and an authentication server's public key to the authentication server through an access point. The authentication server uses the value to detect the subscriber's password, a key stored in a token, and the authentication server's secret key, generate a random number. The subscriber station uses the random number, password, and the key to transmit an encrypted value and the subscriber's authenticator to the authentication server. The authentication server establishes a second value generated by using the password, key, and random number to be a decrypted key to decrypt the encrypted value, authenticate the subscriber's authenticator, and transmits the authentication server's authenticator to the subscriber station. The subscriber station authenticates the authentication server's authenticator by using the key and password.

Abstract: An image forming device includes a sensor to detect whether a paper is discharged or not, a determiner to determine a paper width according to whether a sensing signal is output from the sensor when a printing job is executed, and a controller to control a subsequent printing operation according to the determination result of the determiner. After the printing job is initiated, the determiner determines a normal width when the sensing signal is output within a preset time, and the determiner determines a narrow width when the sensing signal is not output within the present time. Accordingly, using an existing sensor, the paper width can be detected and the appropriate printing process can be performed.

Abstract: A mobile P2P system includes a mobile tracker node and a super peer node. The mobile tracker node is located in a dedicated wired network operating in conjunction with an internet network to which a plurality of peer nodes are connected, and manages information of a plurality of mobile peer nodes connected to a wireless access network. A peer list containing information on one or more peer nodes having the content queried by the plurality of mobile peer nodes is transmitted to the mobile peer nodes, the one or more peer nodes including the mobile peer nodes and the peer nodes on the internet network. The super peer node is connected to the mobile tracker node via wires, and located for each wireless access network. The super peer node forwards a content query received from the mobile peer nodes to the mobile tracker node, and receives the queried content from the peer nodes in the peer list received from the mobile tracker node and transmits the same to the mobile peer nodes.
