Abstract: A method of setting a user interface of a remote control system includes the following steps: A. set a first region on a screen of an electronic device; B. arrange at least a device icon at a predetermined position of the first region, wherein the device icon represents one of electric appliances to be controlled; and C. select the device icon in the first region to generate a control window for a user to operate to control the corresponding electric appliance. Using space compatibility and virtual reality, the user may be easy to recognize the electric appliance for control.

Abstract: A remote control system includes a control signal source, a signal converter, a first electric appliance, a second electric appliance, and a third electric appliance. The control signal source sends out WiFi signals which contain control commands. The signal converter converts the WiFi signals into Bluetooth signals, RF signals, or IR signals, wherein these signals are respectively transmitted to a Bluetooth transceiver, an RF transceiver, and an IR transmitter which are respectively installed in the electric appliances to operate the electric appliances.

Abstract: A remote control kit includes a magnetic holder and a remote control, wherein the magnetic holder includes a magnet and a non-slip member which covers the magnet. The remote control includes a case and a ferromagnetic member therein. The magnetic holder is fixed on a wall where the remote control is ready to be placed. The ferromagnetic member of the remote control is made of a material selected form the group consisting of iron, cobalt, and nickel, and therefore the remote control can be attached onto the magnetic holder via magnetic force.

Abstract: An ignition controlling device of a gas appliance includes a high-voltage provider, a controller, and a flame sensor. The gas appliance includes an ignition electrode and a burner, and the ignition electrode is beside burner. The high-voltage provider has an output terminal, and the output terminal is electrically connected to the ignition electrode to provide high-voltage pulses to the ignition electrode. The controller controls the high-voltage provider to provide the high-voltage pulses. The flame sensor is electrically connected to the output terminal of the high-voltage provider to detect a flame around the ignition electrode and the burner. After a flame is detected by the flame sensor, the controller controls the high-voltage provider to stop the high-voltage pulses.

Abstract: A water heater includes a combustion device, a primary heat exchanger, and a secondary heat exchanger. The combustion device burns gas to generate high-temperature air. The primary and the secondary heat exchangers are provided sequentially above the combustion device. When the high-temperature air passes through the primary heat exchanger, part of thermal energy is absorbed by exchange plates and a water pipe therein. When the high-temperature air continues to pass through the secondary heat exchanger, part of the rest thermal energy is absorbed by a heat tube set therein to preheat water flowing through the heat tube set. The preheated water then flows into the water pipe of the primary heat exchanger. The secondary heat exchanger includes a case and a cover board which detachably seals a bore on the case. Whereby, it's convenient for a user to clean pipes inside the secondary heat exchanger.

Abstract: A portable device having fingerprint recognition function includes an image sensing unit, a microprocessor, a signal transmitting unit, a carrying member, a cleaning unit, and a housing. It is characterized that the cleaning unit removes residual fingerprint from the image sensing unit while the carrying member moves in and out of the housing. The portable device of the present invention is free from fingerprint residue and can reduce security risks.

Abstract: An assembly tool for assembly and replacement of bolts on a wheel hub is revealed. The tool includes a first tool set and a second tool set. The first tool set has a base and a fastener. The base is a circular body with a receiving part. A pad is disposed on the receiving part and a bearing is arranged under the pad. The fastener includes a hexagonal head, an enlarged part, a cylindrical part and an axial hole arranged with a thread. The second tool set has a first arm and a second arm pivotally connected to each other. A wheel bolt is pressed into the wheel hub by the first tool set while the wheel hub is positioned by the first and second arms of the second tool set fastened with the wheel bolts of the wheel hub for convenient assembly of the wheel bolts.

Abstract: A printed circuit board having an electronic component embedded and a method making the same are disclosed. The printed circuit board has four electrically conductive layers and three core layers formed interleavedly. By properly removing a portion of the printed circuit board, the electronic component can be exposed. It has advantages that the exposed electronic component can be a CCD, CMOS or module. When the devices mentioned are embedded in the printed circuit board, one part of them can be exposed from the printed circuit board for normal functions. The overall thickness of the printed circuit board assembly can be minimized to meet the trend of compact design of electronic products.

Abstract: A method for mounting a chip on a printed circuit board (PCB) is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: providing a chip having a plurality of bonding pads and a PCB having a recess portion and a plurality of connectors; gluing the recess portion; placing the chip into the recess portion; and forming circuit patterns linking associated bonding pad and connector. A bottom of the recess portion is substantially flat and a shape of the recess portion is similar to that of the chip but large enough so that the chip can be fixed in the recess portion after being glued.

Abstract: A spindle motor for a hard disk drive includes a base and a bearing assembly coupled to the base. The bearing assembly includes a sleeve configured to rotatably support a shaft therein. A rotor hub is affixed to the shaft so as to be rotatable with the shaft about a rotational axis. A stator is arranged in between the rotor hub and the base. A first magnet is arranged over the stator and on a bottom surface of the rotor hub. In particular, the rotor hub includes a body portion, a peripheral wall portion extending from the body portion in a direction towards the base, and a flange portion having a disk seating surface configured for supporting one or more disks thereon. The peripheral wall portion is configured to at least partially surround the stator in a radial direction. There is also provided a method of fabricating the spindle motor and a hard disk drive incorporating the spindle motor.

Abstract: A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a display module, a speed sensor and a control module. The display module is for displaying an image. The speed sensor is for determining a moving speed of the portable electronic device. The control module, coupled to the speed sensor and the display module, is for determining a rotation sensitivity for the control module to rotate the displayed image according to the moving speed of the portable electronic device. A control method of the aforementioned portable electronic device is also provided.

The healing abutment made of plastic materials and rubber material comprises a tooth-replacement implant cap and a first insertion; wherein the tooth-replacement implant cap including a first main body and a first groove is a polygonal prism with different sectional areas of upper level greater than low level and located in the first main body, and an external surface of the first insertion has a plane surface and a first fine thread. Further, an external surface of the tooth-replacement implant has an external thread section and circular arc thread section, and inside of the tooth-replacement implant has an internal thread section; wherein the first insertion is made of plastic materials or rubber materials; alternatively, the first insertion may be consisted by embracing a first metal screw with plastic materials or rubber materials.

Abstract: A water heater includes a combustor, a gas valve, a blower, a detector, and an operating device. The detector senses a speed of a motor of the blower. The operating device is stored with reference speed ranges under various gas supplies to control the gas valve to cut off the gas supply when the detector senses that the speed of the motor of the blower is beyond the reference speed range.

Abstract: A demonstration device includes a handheld terminal and a receiving terminal. The handheld terminal includes a mode switch key, and a first micro control unit. The mode switch key can generate a mode switch trigger signal to change from TV signal mode for example, to whiteboard mode. The receiving terminal includes a second micro control unit, and a mode switch executing unit. The second micro control unit can receive the mode switch control signal, and the mode switch executing unit can switch the receiving terminal from TV signal mode to a whiteboard mode according to the mode switch control signal. The receiving terminal draws a picture with lines of particular colors and widths according to movements of the handheld terminal when held in a user's hand.

Abstract: An optical zoom in a small form factor suitable for use in mobile devices such as cell phones, security cameras, and other small-scale imaging systems. One or more Alvarez lens pairs are provided, and moved transversely to the optical axis. The combination of one or more Alvarez lens pairs and the actuator permits a zoom power of at least 3× with a lateral displacement distance of the optical components of approximately five millimeters or less.

Abstract: A protective cover allowing unrestricted functionality to an electronic device includes a foldable protective board and a receiving portion containing the electronic device. The protective cover also includes a solar panel, a keyboard with touch input function and a wireless module. The wireless module is configured for wirelessly connecting the keyboard with the electronic device. A method for operating the protective cover is also provided.
