    Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems provide improved throughput on a communication link. An apparatus has a plurality of line drivers, a first wire state encoder configured to receive a first symbol in a sequence of symbols when a 3-wire link is in a first signaling state, and to define a second signaling state for the 3-wire link based on the first symbol and the first signaling state, a second wire state encoder configured to receive a second symbol in the sequence of symbols, and to define a third signaling state for the 3-wire link based on the second symbol and the second signaling state. The first symbol immediately precedes the second symbol in the sequence of symbols. The 3-wire link transitions from the first to the second signaling state, and from the second to the third signaling state in consecutive transmission intervals.

    Abstract: A method of preparing a thermoplastic composition is provided. The method includes the following steps. A polyetherimide or a polyphenylene sulfide is provided. A polyimide is provided, wherein the glass transition temperature of the polyimide is between 128° C. and 169° C., the 10% thermogravimetric loss temperature of the polyimide is between 490° C. and 534° C., and when the polyimide is dissolved in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and the solid content of the polyimide is 30 wt %, the viscosity of the polyimide is between 100 cP and 250 cP. A melt process is performed to mix the polyetherimide and the polyimide or mix the polyphenylene sulfide and the polyimide to form a thermoplastic composition. Further, a thermoplastic composition is also provided.

The system includes an electrochemical sensor chip having at least one well, wherein the at least one well contains a working electrode coated with a conducting polymer functionalized with at least one capture probe, and at least one labeled detector probe. When the at least one labeled detector probe is mixed with a sample of the subject containing a biomarker of lung cancer and added to the at least one well, an electric current is applied to the sample, such that when at least some of the biomarker binds to the capture probe, a measurable change in electric current in the sample is created that is indicative of lung cancer.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an optical sensor, an optical distance sensing module and a fabricating method thereof. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the optical sensor includes an optical sensing layer, a light transmitting layer and a light blocking layer. The optical sensing layer includes an array of optical sensing elements, the light transmitting layer is coated on the optical sensing layer, and the light blocking layer includes one or more light incident holes and is coated on the light transmitting layer. The optical sensing layer, the light transmitting layer and the light blocking layer are packaged as a wafer die. Light passes through the light incident holes and transmits through the light transmitting layer to irradiate on the array of optical sensing elements. The optical sensor effectively reduces the thickness, size and weight of the optical sensor, thereby expanding the application range of the optical sensor.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an object detection method and a convolution neural network. The method is performed through hierarchical architecture of the CNN and includes extracting groups of augmented feature maps from an input image through a backbone and two other groups of feature maps, identifying positive and negative samples with an IOU-based sampling scheme to be proposals for foreground and background through a proposal-sampling classifier, mapping the proposals to regions on the groups of augmented feature maps through the region proposal module, pooling the regions to fixed scale feature maps based on ROI aligning, fusing the fixed scale feature maps, and flattening the fused feature maps to generate an ROI feature vector through an ROI aligner for object classification and box regression. Because extracted features in the groups of augmented feature maps range from spatially-rich features to semantically-rich features, enhanced performance in object classification and box regression can be secured.
