  • Publication number: 20240109394
Abstract: An aerodynamic vehicle includes an aerodynamic heat exchanger formed as one or more body panels disposed along an outer surface of the vehicle having one or more fluidic chambers or micro-channels. The aerodynamic heat exchanger is adapted to provide effective and highly efficient heat transfer, and also to provide substantially reduced or negligible contribution to the aerodynamic drag. The aerodynamic heat exchanger may provide adequate heat rejection capacity throughout vehicle operating conditions that advantageously results in increased fuel economy and overall vehicle performance.

  • Publication number: 20240100905
Abstract: An electric vehicle having a heat exchanger formed in an aerodynamic airfoil shape comprising one or more body panels disposed along an outer surface of the vehicle having one or more fluidic chambers or micro-channels. The heat exchanger is adapted to provide effective and highly efficient heat transfer, and also to provide substantially reduced or negligible contribution to the aerodynamic drag. The heat exchanger includes a supplemental heat exchange system wherein at least a portion of the heat exchange capacity is provided by an inner heat exchange surface of the heat exchanger exposed to an interstitial space within the vehicle. Airflow is forced, via a fan for example, from an aerodynamically-efficient inlet, over the inner heat exchange surface, and exhausted through an aerodynamically-efficient outlet, thereby providing a supplemental heat exchange system including substantially reduced or negligible contribution to the aerodynamic drag.

  • Publication number: 20240082083
Abstract: An adjustment device for removably coupling a seatback to a seat. The adjustment device can include a first adjuster and/or a second adjuster for adjusting respective linear and angular positions of the seatback relative to the seat. The first adjuster can include a first linear actuator, a main body and a sliding bed. The second adjuster can include a second linear actuator, a sliding bed and an angle plate pivotably coupled to the sliding bed. The first and second linear actuators can each include a cylindrical worm. The first adjuster and the second adjuster can be independently actuatable to change the position of the seatback relative to the seat.

  • Patent number: 11743740
Abstract: Multiple mobile cellular network (MCN) communication systems can be networked together to form a network of MCN communication systems (NOM). Each MCN communication system within the NOM can operate as an independent cellular network to provide communications between user equipment within a covered area. The MCN can be managed by a network management control center (NMCC). The NMCC can be configured generate coverage maps of the NOM and NMC system coverage areas.

  • Patent number: 11671893
Abstract: A wireless mobile communication device can receive one or more network parameters from a network gateway and identify a network associated with the network parameters based on stored network information of networks with which the device is configured to join and/or network gateways with which the device is configured to communicate. The device can identify private network information associated with the identified network that will enable the device to access one or more private networks via the identified network. Once the device obtains access to the identified network, the device can set up one or more virtual private network (VPN) tunnels to join one or more private networks accessible via the identified network. When using two or more VPN tunnels, one VPN tunnel can be nested within another VPN tunnel.

  • Patent number: 11559421
Abstract: A protective dressing includes an outer dressing and an adhesive layer. The outer dressing includes an opening and a cavity sized to receive a phase-change material (PCM) insert inserted through the opening. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere to a patient's skin surrounding an anatomic site. When adhered to the patient's skin, the PCM insert modifies the patient's skin at the anatomic site. The PCM insert may be removed and replaced with another PCM insert. For example, a warm PCM insert may be replaced with a refrigerated PCM insert. The opening of the outer dressing may be self-sealing. The opening of the outer dressing may be sealed with an upper layer dressing coupled to the PCM cooling insert.
