  • Patent number: 9287747
Abstract: A wind power generator with a closed internal cooling circuit has a stator that is implemented as sheet metal and includes a winding system which forms winding heads at the end faces of the stator. The stator is enclosed by a cooling jacket at least in the region of the laminated core, wherein permanent magnets of a rotor are disposed on a magnet wheel jacket embodied as a hollow shaft. The magnet wheel jacket is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a shaft or shaft stubs by way of support elements at its end faces, wherein in its interior the hollow shaft has at least one tube whose lateral surface area runs at an equidistant clearance from the magnet wheel jacket. Blowers are mounted at the end faces of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 9174573
Abstract: A coaching system for drivers of vehicles monitors the power dissipation of a manual transmission clutch and, when the energy dissipated during an event is excessive, suggests modified driving technique. The system may monitor launch events, shift events, and steady state driving. The system may adjust the energy threshold at which a suggestion is provided based on vehicle weight or road gradient. The system may also adjust the energy threshold when an estimate of clutch temperature is elevated. The suggestion may be provided on a graphic display or may be provided verbally over a speaker. In some cases, the suggested may also be conveyed to a third party outside the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8844109
Abstract: A method for manufacturing motor vehicles at a manufacturing location (S), from which ready-assembled motor vehicles are built in a planned number and order of output. First modules (MA) are delivered in a specific assembly stage discontinuously from a first production shop (PA) to the manufacturing location (S) and are fed continuously into a manufacturing line (F) in which the modules (MA) are manufactured into motor vehicles (A). Second modules (MB) be fed in a specific assembly stage from a second production shop (PB) into the joint manufacturing line (F) at a sequencing station (5) alternately with the modules (MA). Thus, vehicles of first and second model series can be manufactured on one and the same manufacturing line.

  • Patent number: 8840354
Abstract: A retractable tow hook assembly is connected with a rectangular storage container having a vertical ramp end wall hingedly connected at its bottom edge with the container for displacement about a horizontal pivot axis from an initial vertical closed position downwardly toward an inclined loading position in engagement with the ground. The tow hook assembly includes a support plate that is externally connected with the container adjacent the hinge connection, and a hook member that is displaceable relative to the support plate between an upwardly extending towing position for engagement by the loop of a towing cable when the ramp wall is in the vertical position, and a non-obstructing downwardly-displaced retracted position when the ramp wall is in the downwardly inclined loading position. A stop arrangement prevents displacement of the tow hook member beyond the extended position.
