Abstract: Probes for formaldehyde (FA) including a homoallylamine trigger group attached to a detectable moiety are provided. Aspects of the probes include luminogenic or fluorogenic probes, such as a probe including a quencher in energy-receiving proximity to a fluorophore. Also provided are methods of using the probes for sensitive and bio orthogonal detection of FA in a sample. Aspects of the methods include selectively reacting the probe with the formaldehyde in the sample to a release (e.g., via a 2-aza-Cope rearrangement) a reporter group comprising a detectable moiety. Aspects of the methods detecting formaldehyde in a cell, tissue, organ or fluid in a subject. Also provided are compositions and kits including the subject probes that find use in practicing various embodiments of the subject methods.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are computer-implemented method, system, and computer-readable storage-medium embodiments for implementing template-based excerpting and rendering of multimedia performances technologies. An embodiment includes at least one computer processor configured to retrieve a first content instance and corresponding first metadata. The first content instance may include a first plurality of structural elements, with at least one structural element corresponding to at least part of the first metadata. An embodiment may further include selecting a first template comprising a first set of parameters. A parameter of the first set of parameters may be applicable to the at least one structural element. Applicable parameter(s) of the first template may be actively associated with the at least part of the first metadata corresponding to the at least one structural element. The first content instance may be transformed by a rendering engine running on the at least one computer processor.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating burst mode calibration sensing and image mode sensing. In one example, a device includes a detector array configured to detect electromagnetic radiation and provide image data frames according to a first frame rate. The device further includes a logic circuit configured to determine whether a threshold delay has elapsed. The device further includes a frame output circuit configured to: provide, based at least on the threshold delay having elapsed, the image data frames according to the first frame rate; and provide, based at least on the threshold delay not having elapsed, the image data frames according to a second frame rate lower than the first frame rate. Related methods and systems are also provided.

Abstract: Techniques to set a frame rate and associated device manufacturing are disclosed. In one example, an imaging device includes a detector array configured to detect electromagnetic radiation associated with a scene and provide image data frames according to a first frame rate. The imaging device further includes a readout circuit configured to provide the image data frames according to a frame rate for the readout circuit. The imaging device further includes a fuse configured to set the frame rate for the readout circuit. Related methods and systems are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions of nitrites such as inorganic nitrites, or any pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, or prodrugs thereof, and the medical use of these compositions. The pharmaceutical compositions, which can be formulated for oral administration, can provide immediate release or extended release of the nitrite ion (NO2?). The pharmaceutical compositions of the invention are useful, for example, for treating or reducing pain, improving symptoms of a microvascular disease, and improving nerve conduction velocity.

Abstract: The method, system, and computer-readable medium facilitates monitoring a vehicle operator during the course of vehicle operation to determine whether the vehicle operator is in an emotionally impaired state (e.g., aggressive or agitated) and presenting appropriate stimuli (e.g., music or sound recordings) to the vehicle operator when impairment is detected. The vehicle operator, the environment surrounding the vehicle, or forces acting on the vehicle may be monitored using a variety of sensors, including optical sensors, accelerometers, or biometric sensors (e.g., skin conductivity, heart rate, or voice modulation). When the vehicle operator is determined to be in an emotionally impaired state, stimuli are selected to improve the emotional state of the vehicle operator. The selection is based on sensor data and data regarding prior responses of the vehicle operator to various stimuli. After selection, the stimuli are presented to the vehicle operator while monitoring continues.

Abstract: Methods for the production of immunogenic compositions containing a non-natural amino acid are disclosed. The non-natural amino acid can be a site for attachment of antigens, such as bacterial capsular polysaccharides, to make immunogenic conjugates. Bio-orthogonal attachment chemistry incorporated into the non-natural amino acids allows for more efficient and potent antigen presentation to the immune system, simplified purification, and more well-defined structure of these semi-synthetic immunogens.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for performing shader writes to compressed surfaces are disclosed. In one embodiment, a processor includes at least a memory and one or more shader units. In one embodiment, a shader unit of the processor is configured to receive a write request targeted to a compressed surface. The shader unit is configured to identify a first block of the compressed surface targeted by the write request. Responsive to determining the data of the write request targets less than the entirety of the first block, the first shader unit reads the first block from the cache and decompress the first block. Next, the first shader unit merges the data of the write request with the decompressed first block. Then, the shader unit compresses the merged data and writes the merged data to the cache.

Abstract: Techniques presented herein provide an improved relay user experience and improved management of scarce computing and network resources as the number of relay endpoints increases. A sourcing endpoint device may generate a media feed, such as video and/or audio feed, representing contribution from a conference participant. The sourcing endpoint device may generate a priority value for the media feed, and the priority value may be transmitted to other members of the relay along with the input feed. Priority values of the different relay participants may be used by other devices, for example, intermediate servers or receiving endpoint devices, to manage aspects of the relay. For example, a relay server may prune streams from select endpoint devices based on relative priority values received from those devices. Alternatively, receiving endpoint devices may alter presentation of received feeds based on their associated priority values.

Some embodiments include a solar sheet configured for installation on a surface of a UAV or on a surface of a component of a UAV. The solar sheet includes a plurality of solar cells and a polymer layer to which the plurality of solar cells are attached. Some embodiments include a kit for supplying solar power in a battery-powered or fuel cell powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by incorporating flexible solar cells into a component of a UAV, affixing flexible solar cells to a surface of a UAV, or affixing flexible solar cells to a surface of a component of a UAV. The kit also includes a power conditioning system configured to operate the solar cells within a desired power range and configured to provide power having a voltage compatible with an electrical system of the UAV.
