  • Patent number: 10357396
Abstract: A patient warming device with patient access for maintaining normothermia and/or treating hypothermia is provided. The device includes a first compliant layer and a second compliant layer sealed together around an outer border to contain a liquid between the two layers and to form a wrap that surrounds and conforms to a body portion of a patient. A plurality of flaps extends from opposite sides of a generally longitudinal central portion of the wrap, such that one or more flaps from the opposite sides fasten to each other to surround the body portion. The flaps are openable during functional use to provide access to an underlying patient body surface. A continuous fluid flow path extends between the first compliant layer and the second compliant layer between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet to carry liquid and deliver heat through the wrap.

  • Publication number: 20190188658
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for a system and method for user-directed donations over a network. Each user within the network selects a plurality of charities to donate monetary differences from transactions on a financial statement. The user may select specific percentages of each monetary difference to be directed to user-specified charities.

  • Publication number: 20190180311
Abstract: A blockchain-based loyalty point distribution system may be configured to provide decentralized loyalty IDs. The decentralized loyalty IDs may allow distribution of loyalty rewards in response to transaction-based events and non-transaction-based events, including behavioral interactions. The system may include a loyalty partner system that receives a rewards event from a customer. The loyalty partner system may determine a loyalty ID associated with the customer, and write the rewards event to the blockchain. A loyalty provider system may receive notification of the rewards event write and distribute the loyalty reward to the customer. The loyalty provider may instruct the loyalty partner to remit payment for the loyalty reward, and may update customer and loyalty partner balances on the blockchain.

  • Patent number: 10304155
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for compressing pixel data are disclosed. In one embodiment, if a block of pixel data is equal to a constant value, a processor compresses the block down to a metadata value which specifies the constant value for the entire block of pixel data. The processor also detects if the constant value is equal to a video specific typical minimum or maximum value. In another embodiment, the processor receives a plurality of M-bit pixel components which are most significant bit aligned in N-bit containers. Next, the processor shifts the M-bit pixel components down into least significant bit locations of the N-bit containers. Then, the processor converts the N-bit containers into M-bit containers. Next, the processor compresses the M-bit containers to create a compressed block of pixel data which is then stored in a memory subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20190148443
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to vertical legs for an infrared detector. For example, an infrared imaging device may include a microbolometer array in which each microbolometer includes a bridge and a vertical leg structure that couples the bridge to a substrate such as a readout integrated circuit. The vertical leg structure may run along a path that is parallel to a plane defined by the bridge and may be oriented perpendicularly to the plane. The path may be disposed within, below, or above the plane defined by the bridge.
