  • Publication number: 20150277407
Abstract: A system and method for determining a location of an equipment controller within a building including a building automation system are disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a main controller of the building automation system, a request from a mobile device to locate an equipment controller. The main controller monitors one or more sensors that are in communication with the main controller for a user-initiated communication-modifying event in response to receiving the request from the mobile device. The main controller determines a hardware address of the equipment controller in response to receiving a user-initiated communication-modifying event from one of the equipment controller and of the one or more sensors.

  • Publication number: 20150113429
Abstract: A mobile device user interface typically presents a static home screen that allows a user to initiate applications so that they may view and consume content. The present disclosure provides systems and methods for providing content as well as contextual functionality more fluidly on mobile devices. A live wallpaper may be instantiated on mobile devices such that a background layer presented as part of a home screen is closely coupled to associated applications. Both the background layer and the associated applications may provide content and contextual functionality based on data and metadata received from servers external to the mobile devices, leading to a highly dynamic and engaging experience.

  • Patent number: 9004470
Abstract: A shock absorber includes an elastomeric jounce bumper which engages a jounce bumper cap during relatively large compression movements of the shock absorber. The jounce bumper cap includes a jounce bumper nose retaining feature which engages the nose of the jounce bumper during the compression movements. The jounce bumper nose retaining feature restricts sliding movement of the elastomeric jounce bumper with respect to the jounce bumper cap to eliminate noises associated with the relative movement.

  • Publication number: 20130254213
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing a social graph of a social network service to identify and then present connection paths connecting various entities are described. With some embodiments, subsequent to a user selecting or otherwise identifying two entities represented as nodes in a social graph, the social graph is analyzed to identify connection paths connecting the nodes representing the two entities. The social graph is implemented with a graph data structure having nodes and edges representing entities and associations between entities, respectively. With some embodiments, the nodes represent people, companies, educational institutions (e.g., schools, universities, etc.), and groups. After identifying the connection paths, the connection path or paths having the highest path scores, as derived by aggregating edge scores assigned to the edges, may be presented.
