  • Publication number: 20050190897
Abstract: This invention relates to a system and method for creation and automatic deployment of personalized, dynamic and interactive voice services, including information derived from on-line analytical processing (OLAP) systems and other data repositories. More specifically, the invention relates to a system and method that enable personalized delivery of information in real-time, via natural language voice communication with a voice-enabled terminal device. The system and method combines personalized information broadcast technology with an active voice page. An active voice page is created by the system, stored in a call database and used to generate dynamic voice menus. A call server retrieves the AVP from the call database and delivers the content of the service by dialing a subscriber's telephone number, speaking message text to the subscriber and recording the subscriber's input in response to the call menus. A unique AVP is generated for each subscriber scheduled to receive voice service content.

  • Publication number: 20050036593
Abstract: A method and system for accomplishing real-time queries in conjunction with interactive, real-time, voice transmission of information to a user is disclosed. A voice-based communication between a user and a first system is established and a report is transmitted to the user. The report might comprise information and at least one request for user input based on said information. In response to the report, the user can request that additional queries be run against database or other data repository. The requested is drawn from the database automatically, in real-time by connecting to the database.

  • Patent number: 6738931
Abstract: A reliability assessment analysis system. Included as part of system are a plurality of analysis stations, at least one of the analysis stations being located at a remote geographic location from others, and each of the analysis stations being capable of performing reliability assessment analysis processes on components or systems of components. Further provided is a plurality of database sites, where at least one of the database sites is located at a remote geographic location from the others. Each database site includes a database of data, at least some of the data being usable by at least one of the analysis stations. A communications infrastructure provides a communication path between and among the plurality of analysis stations and the plurality of database sites. The analysis stations and database sites are configured to provide a user of at least one of the analysis stations with access to more than a single one of the database sites.

  • Publication number: 20030056133
Abstract: In a computer system of a networked computer and printer, a printer wake up icon apparatus and method includes a computer and a network connected to the computer. A printer is connected to the network and through the network to the computer. A wake up icon is provided on the computer for sending a wake up command to the printer. In a further aspect of the invention, multiple computers are connected to the printer and/or multiple printers are connected to the computer. In a further aspect of the invention, the wake up icon resides on a desktop user interface on the computer.

  • Publication number: 20020127597
Abstract: A hybrid learning system is provided for searching an experimental space. A data mart is configured to acquire, store, and manipulate a set or meta-set of data including at least historical experimental data, descriptor data, and concurrent experimental data. A search engine is designed to use unsupervised learning techniques to select a set of evaluation points representing a corresponding set of experiments to be run, based on data from the data mart. A point evaluation mechanism provided with supervised learning modules which perform predictive processing based on the evaluation points selected by the search engine, and a scoring module performs a rating operation on outputs of the learning modules to rate the outputs of the learning modules from best to worst. The data mart search engine and point evaluation mechanism allow for a repetitive processing to refine an output of potential solutions without the requirement of continually running actual physical experiments.
