Abstract: A safety platform includes a sliding frame capable of attaching to a unit, and a deck having at least one deck side. The deck is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The safety platform further includes a stair, ladder, or ramp operatively connected to the at least one deck side and capable of extending therefrom, at least one vertical post member connected to the deck, a handrail operatively connected to the at least one vertical post member, and a vertical toeboard operatively connected to the at least one deck side, excluding a portion of the deck operatively connected to the stair, ladder, or ramp. The handrail is configured to extend along and parallel to an outer side of the stair, ladder, or ramp, and the at least one deck side, excluding a portion of the deck operatively connected to the stair, ladder, or ramp.

Abstract: A liquid electrolyte fuel cell comprises means to define an electrolyte chamber (208), and two electrodes (10), one on either side of the electrolyte chamber (208), each electrode comprising:—a sheet (11) of metal through which are defined a multiplicity of through-holes (14), and—a gas-permeable layer (16) of fibrous and/or particulate electrically-conductive material which is bonded to and in electrical contact with the sheet of metal (11), and which comprises catalytic material (18). The electrode (10) may be arranged such that the gas-permeable layer (16) faces the electrolyte chamber (208).

Abstract: A luminaire (41, 141) for a double ended tubular HID lamp (110) is disclosed. The luminaire has a V-shaped reflector (2) having a spine (3) and is bendable into a tensioned state having a generally M-shaped configuration. A pair of lamp holders (60, 61; 160, 161) is connected to the spine and spaced apart a distance corresponding to the length of the tubular lamp. A hollow conduit (43, 158) extends between the lamp holders. A pair of insulated cables (31, 32) interconnects the lamp holders with one of the cables (32) passing through the hollow conduit. The distance between the spine (3) and lamp (110) is able to be adjusted.

Abstract: A propellant feed system for swirl-coaxial injection of a liquid propellant includes a reservoir having a bottom plate and at least one tube originating in the bottom plate and extending therefrom. The tube has rectangular slits defined in and distributed tangentially and evenly about a portion of the tube that is disposed in the bottom plate. Drain holes are provided in the bottom plate and tunnels are defined in the bottom plate. Each tunnel fluidly couples one of the drain holes to a corresponding one of the rectangular slits. Each tunnel includes (i) a bend of at least 90°, and (ii) a straight portion leading to its corresponding rectangular slit wherein the straight portion is at least five times as long as a hydraulic diameter of the corresponding rectangular slit.
