Patent number: 12134998Abstract: A reserve fuel system can be used to supplement fuel provided to an engine of wellsite equipment. For example, a fuel supply line can transport gaseous fuel at a wellsite to an engine of an equipment coupled to the fuel supply line. A reserve fuel tank can store gaseous fuel diverted from the fuel supply line. The reserve fuel tank can include a first valve coupling a first end of the reserve fuel tank to the fuel supply line to divert the gaseous fuel and a second valve coupling a second end of the reserve fuel tank to the engine. The second valve can be in a closed position to prevent the stored gaseous fuel from transferring to the engine or an open position to transfer the stored gaseous fuel to the engine. A control system can adjust the second valve based on a pressure of the fuel supply line.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2023Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Brenden Chenoweth, Timothy Holiman Hunter, Christopher Ryan Almon, Austin Carl Schaffner, Billy D. Patent number: 12134991Abstract: A gaseous fuel supply to an engine at a wellbore can be monitored using a monitoring system. The monitoring system can include a sensor apparatus having sensors configured to monitor the fuel supply of the engine. The fuel supply can be transported within a fuel supply line of a wellsite. The monitoring system can divert a portion of the fuel supply of the engine from the fuel supply line to a fuel sampling line. The monitoring system can analyze the portion of the fuel supply using the sensor apparatus to determine a fuel property measurement of the fuel supply. Additionally, the monitoring system can determine that the fuel property measurement is outside of a predefined range associated with a target performance level of the engine. In response, the monitoring system can perform a mitigation operation to cause the fuel supply to enable the target performance level of the engine.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2023Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Brenden Chenoweth, Timothy Holiman Hunter, Christopher Ryan Almon, Austin Carl Schaffner, Billy D. Patent number: 12133194Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for enabling accurate estimation of a location of a water vessel. In an embodiment, a rescue system transmits a Short Message Service (SMS) message to a user device on the water vessel, the SMS message comprising a selectable option that, when selected, causes a location of the user device to be shared. Based on a selection by a user of the user device of the selectable option, the system receives a plurality of location coordinates from the user device at a plurality of respective times, each respective location coordinate describing a respective location of the user device at its respective time. The system computes an estimated location of the water vessel based on the plurality of location coordinates and an elapsed time between a current time and a time at which a last-received location coordinate was received. The system transmits the estimated location to a responder device.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2023Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: i911 International, Inc.Inventor: Christopher Ryan Bennett

Patent number: 12062106Abstract: A micro-hazard monitoring system detects and addresses micro-hazards in a user's environment. The system directs the user to traverse the environment, gathering mapping data for the space and objects found there. The system maps the user's environment, noting the locations and types of objects. Movement and wear simulations are performed on the mapped space advancing time to estimate the likelihood of damaging user/object interactions and the extents of any resulting damage, based on information in that map, the system notes potential problems and computes one or more micro-hazard scores reflecting the nature and severity of the potential problems. If a score so warrants, the system takes remedial action to address the micro-hazard, such as warning the user about the existence of the micro-hazard and potentially what to do about it and/or taking a direct action such as shutting off an electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2022Date of Patent: August 13, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Nikhil Dama, Laura Frisbie Evans, Christopher Ryan Haberland, Ting Lu, Simon Phillip Stolarczyk, Kristopher Thomas Williams

Publication number: 20240257439Abstract: Disclosed approaches may leverage the actual spatial and reflective properties of a virtual environment—such as the size, shape, and orientation of a bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) lobe of a light path and its position relative to a reflection surface, a virtual screen, and a virtual camera—to produce, for a pixel, an anisotropic kernel filter having dimensions and weights that accurately reflect the spatial characteristics of the virtual environment as well as the reflective properties of the surface. In order to accomplish this, geometry may be computed that corresponds to a projection of a reflection of the BRDF lobe below the surface along a view vector to the pixel. Using this approach, the dimensions of the anisotropic filter kernel may correspond to the BRDF lobe to accurately reflect the spatial characteristics of the virtual environment as well as the reflective properties of the surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2024Publication date: August 1, 2024Inventors: Shiqiu Liu, Christopher Ryan Wyman, Jon Hasselgren, Jacob Munkberg, Ignacio Llamas

Patent number: 12014621Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for on-device storage at a mobile bug of data of a one-way communications session where quality deteriorates. In an embodiment, a mobile bug receives a request to establish a one-way communications session, and responsively transmits data to a database for storage while refraining from storing the transmitted data subsequent to the transmission of the data. The mobile bug detects a deterioration in the one-way communications session that prevents, at least in part, the transmission of the data. Responsive to detecting the deterioration, while the deterioration is detected, the mobile bug stores the data in an encrypted format. The mobile bug detects a request for the data stored at the mobile bug, and responsively transmits the data to the database and deletes the data from the mobile bug.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: June 18, 2024Assignee: CALLYO 2009 CORPInventors: Christopher Ryan Bennett, Derek Anthony Seroky, Robert Beauchamp Menke
