    Abstract: A vertical takeoff and landing vehicle which includes an allocation block that receives a set of desired forces or desired moments and a health metric associated with at least one of: (1) a motor controller or (2) a rotor that operates in a vertical takeoff and landing mode at least some of the time. A command signal is determined per a first manner that attempts to satisfy both the set of desired forces or desired moments and the health metric. If the command signal is unable to be determined in the first manner, a second manner is used that prioritizes flight control associated with one or more of a roll axis or a pitch axis over flight control associated with a yaw axis where the axes are mutually orthogonal. The command signal is output to the motor controller that controls the rotor using the command signal.

    Abstract: A flangeless fluid end comprising a fluid end body releasably attached to a connect plate. The connect plate is attached to a power source using stay rods. The flow bores of the fluid end are sealed without threading a retainer nut into the walls of each bore. Instead, the flow bores are sealed by bolting a retainer to the fluid end body. Plungers to drive fluid through the fluid end body are installed within removable stuffing box sleeves. These sleeves are maintained within the plunger bores by the bolted retainers. A number of features, including the location of seals within bore walls and carbide inserts within valve structures, aid in reducing or transferring wear.

    Abstract: In various embodiments, a motor controller includes a rotor strike detector and a drive and control unit. The motor controller generates a plurality of phase-shifted sinusoidal signals. The rotor strike detector detects a rotor strike including by comparing a commanded control signal and an adaptive control signal. The adaptive control signal is associated with controlling the rotor and includes the phase-shifted sinusoidal signals. A rotor strike is detected based on a change in a plurality of sinusoidal signals. The drive and control unit, in response to detecting that the aircraft is above a threshold altitude and detecting the rotor strike, sets a value of the adaptive control signal to keep the aircraft airborne, and reduces a striking force applied to an object being struck by the rotor including by prioritizing the keeping the aircraft airborne over the reducing the striking force applied to the object being struck by the rotor.

Further, the front beam includes a motor assembly operably coupled to the plurality of louvers and configured to rotate the plurality of louvers. In some examples, one or more of the beams and one or more of the posts include lighting elements. In some examples, the outdoor structure includes a display unit that allows for opening and closing the plurality of louvers, and for turning on and off the one or more lighting elements.

The intake of low-pressure fluid within the fluid end section is regulated by an inlet valve installed within the plunger. Low pressure fluid enters the plunger through an inlet component attached to both the plunger and an inlet manifold.

The DOE reflects and focuses light back to the optical waveguide probe, and a power meter is adapted to receive at least a portion of the light reflected and focused at the focal point above the PIC. Based on the determination of a location of the absolute maximum reflection, consistent and reliable testing of PIC can be achieved.
