  • Publication number: 20240034480
Abstract: 1. A vertical takeoff and landing vehicle which includes an allocation block that receives a set of desired forces or desired moments and a health metric associated with at least one of: (1) a motor controller or (2) a rotor that operates in a vertical takeoff and landing mode at least some of the time. A command signal is determined per a first manner that attempts to satisfy both the set of desired forces or desired moments and the health metric. If the command signal is unable to be determined in the first manner, a second manner is used that prioritizes flight control associated with one or more of a roll axis or a pitch axis over flight control associated with a yaw axis where the axes are mutually orthogonal. The command signal is output to the motor controller that controls the rotor using the command signal.

  • Patent number: 11867852
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe an atomic sensor that includes a photonic die that outputs optical signals on a top surface. These optical signals can be directed and shaped as needed to satisfy a particular type of atomic sensor. In one embodiment, an atomic source (e.g., rubidium or cesium) is disposed on the photonic chip to emit atoms when heated. A collimator can then direct the emitted atoms along a path that intersects with the optical signals. This intersection can be used to detect motion (e.g., rotation and acceleration) of the atomic sensor.

  • Patent number: 11869187
Abstract: Risk prediction models are trained and deployed to analyze images, such as computed tomography scans, for predicting future risk of lung cancer for one or more subjects. Individual risk prediction models are separately trained on nodule-specific and non-nodule specific features such that each risk prediction model can predict future risk of lung cancer across different time periods (e.g., 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years). Such risk prediction models are useful for developing preventive therapies for lung cancer by enabling clinical trial enrichment.

  • Patent number: 11857219
Abstract: Systems for augmenting a vertebral body. A deformable conduit assembly includes a hub defining an opening, and a deformable conduit within which a steering instrument is removably disposed. The deformable conduit may be curved by the steering instrument. An expandable member assembly includes a catheter tube slidably positioned through the opening of the hub and a cannula handle of an access cannula, and an expandable structure. The deformable conduit may be moved proximally relative to the hub and the expandable member assembly to expose the expandable structure within the vertebral body. The hub may define one or more guiding slots though which one or more arms are slidably positioned. An axial controller may be coupled to a proximal end of the deformable conduit. The axial controller is configured to receive an input to expose the expandable structure by moving the deformable conduit relative to the hub and the access cannula.
