  • Publication number: 20240299075
Abstract: An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular and/or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand with open ends around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, and/or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system also includes means to limit and/or adjust the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The preferred embodiment of the catheter includes structures which provide radial and lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes open uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall.

  • Publication number: 20240258175
Abstract: A method of fabricating an integrated circuit includes forming a first opening having a first width and a second opening having a second width in a first dielectric layer over a silicon substrate. The openings expose the silicon substrate and the exposed silicon substrate is oxidized to form first and second LOCOS structures having a first thickness. A polysilicon layer is formed over the silicon substrate, so that the polysilicon layer fills the first and second openings. A blanket etch of the polysilicon layer is performed to remove at least a portion of the polysilicon layer over the second LOCOS structure while leaving the first LOCOS structure protected by the polysilicon layer. The silicon substrate under the second LOCOS structure is further oxidized such that the second LOCOS structure has a second thickness greater than the first thickness.

  • Publication number: 20240202917
Abstract: Risk prediction models are trained and deployed to analyze images, such as computed tomography scans, for predicting future risk of lung cancer for one or more subjects. Individual risk prediction models are separately trained on nodule-specific and non-nodule specific features such that each risk prediction model can predict future risk of lung cancer across different time periods (e.g., 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years). Such risk prediction models are useful for developing preventive therapies for lung cancer by enabling clinical trial enrichment.

  • Patent number: 12012626
Abstract: In various aspects and embodiments, the invention provides microbial cells and methods for producing advanced glycosylation products from lower glycosylated intermediates. The microbial cell expresses one or more UDP-dependent glycosyl transferase enzymes in the cytoplasm, for glycosylation of the intermediates. When incubating the microbial strain with a plant extract or fraction thereof comprising the intermediates, these glycosylated intermediates are available for further glycosylation by the cell, and the advanced glycosylation products can be recovered from the media and/or microbial cells.
