  • Publication number: 20230302953
Abstract: A system and method for managing vehicle charging stations such that when at least two of a plurality of electric vehicle charging stations (also known as electric vehicle service equipment, or EVSE) occupied with vehicles awaiting a charge, the present system manages the charging of individual vehicles in cases where the aggregated demand for charging exceeds the capacity of the circuits supplying the plurality of EVSE. By cycling so that only a few of the vehicles are charging at a time, the demand on the circuits is kept below a predetermined limit. In cases where a load shedding event is in progress, the limit can be further reduced. In cases where the cost of electricity is varying dynamically, the system considers a driver's explicit charging requirements (if any) and preferences for opportunistic charging when the price of electricity is not too high.

  • Publication number: 20230303143
Abstract: A pallet truck wheel guard assembly is configured for use on a pallet truck of a type having a spaced pair of rear steer wheels rotatable about an axle residing and steerable within a horizontal plane relative to said pallet truck. The wheel guard assembly comprises a shroud having a width approximately equal to or larger than a spacing between rear steer wheels of a pallet truck. One or more connectors are configured to fixedly attach the shroud only to an axle between the steer wheels of the pallet truck, wherein the shroud is fixed relative to the steer wheels such that a spacing between a bottom edge of shroud and a floor level upon which the steer wheels rest is sufficiently narrow so as to prevent extremities from slipping beneath the shroud and be caught under the pallet jack wheels.

  • Patent number: 11762934
Abstract: Embodiments described herein include receiving an application flow defining logic for triggering automated actions for a candidate post on one or more web-based communication channels. An artificial intelligence (AI) powered web crawler may crawl a set of websites for target content. Responsive to identifying target content, machine learning may be leveraged to identify an entity name for an entity that is a subject of the target content and associate the entity with one or more event categories. Based on the event categories, a segment may be generated at runtime for the application flow where segment membership was not known at the time the application flow was defined or before application runtime.

  • Patent number: 11736471
Abstract: A system for communicating with multiple vehicles or other electronic devices that share a common media access control (MAC) or other address is disclosed. Upon receiving a certificate signing request (CSR) from a connected device and determining that the device does not have a unique address, the system will generate a unique address for the device and embedding the unique addresses in a certificate, sign the certificate, and transfer the certificate to the device. Then, when the system communicates with the device, the system may use that unique address to identify the device.

  • Patent number: 11708172
Abstract: A first propeller has a shorter blade length and a lower inertia than a second propeller. An electromagnetic field emitter is coupled to one of the first propeller or the second propeller and an electromagnetic field receptor is coupled to the other one that is not coupled to the electromagnetic field emitter. The electromagnetic field emitter emits an electromagnetic field. In response to the electromagnetic field: the electromagnetic field receptor and its coupled propeller rotate in a first rotational direction; and the electromagnetic field emitter and its coupled propeller rotate in a second and counter-rotational direction. In response to a second electromagnetic field associated with increasing torque: the first propeller increases and subsequently decreases its rotational speed; and the second propeller increases its rotational speed at a slower rate than the increase in the rotational speed of the first propeller.

  • Publication number: 20230231806
Abstract: Ghost routing is a network verification technique that uses a portion of a production network itself to verify the impact of potential network changes. Ghost routing logically partitions the production network into a main network and a ghost network. The main network handles live traffic while the ghost network handles traffic generated for diagnostic purposes. The ghost network may have a network topology identical to the production network and may use the same hardware and software as the production network. An operator may implement a network configuration change on the ghost network and then use verification tools to verify that the network configuration change on the ghost network does not result in bugs. Verifying on the ghost network may not affect the main network. If the network operator verifies the network configuration change on the ghost network, the network operator may implement the network configuration change on the main network.

  • Patent number: 11706063
Abstract: A system for switching between different communication modes by network nodes according to a time-division schedule to transmit and receive data packets is provided. For example, a transmitting node is configured to determine a scheduled communication mode of an upcoming time division according to a time-division schedule, and transmit a data packet in that time division when the scheduled communication mode matches a selected communication mode supported by both the transmitting node and a receiving node. The receiving node operates in a scheduled communication mode specified for a current time division by the time-division schedule and determines whether a header of the data packet is detected in the current time division. If not, the receiving node switches to a second scheduled communication mode specified for the subsequent time division by the time-division schedule to detect the header of the data packet in a subsequent time division.

  • Publication number: 20230215004
Abstract: Risk prediction models are trained and deployed to analyze images, such as computed tomography scans, for predicting future risk of lung cancer for one or more subjects. Individual risk prediction models are separately trained on nodule-specific and non-nodule specific features such that each risk prediction model can predict future risk of lung cancer across different time periods (e.g., 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years). Such risk prediction models are useful for developing preventive therapies for lung cancer by enabling clinical trial enrichment.
