Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface coating method of a sulphide phosphor and thereby coated sulphide phosphor. The surface coating method includes preparing sulphide phosphor powder, applying silane modifier to the sulphide phosphor to form an organic polymer film containing silicon on the surface of the sulphide phosphor. The method further includes heat-treating the sulphide phosphor powder to obtain a silicon oxide film from the organic polymer film.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a gate structure (such as a floating gate) of a nonvolatile (e.g., flash) memory is described. After a polysilicon layer and a mask layer (e.g., silicon nitride) are formed on a semiconductor substrate, the silicon nitride layer is patterned and the polysilicon layer is partially etched. Then, a sidewall spacer is formed on sidewalls of the partially etched polysilicon layer and the patterned mask layer. The partially etched polysilicon layer is then fully etched, maintaining a partially etched shape at its top edge due to the sidewall spacer. The mask layer and the sidewall spacer are removed, to form a floating gate having a near-round edge shape. After full etching, the polysilicon layer may be heat-treated such that its top edge shape may become more rounded, fluent and/or stress- and/or strain-relieving.

Abstract: In an inverse calculation circuit, an inverse calculation method, and a storage medium encoded with a computer readable computer program code, a random number generator generates a first random number and a second random number; and an inverter receives a plurality of first bits expressing a first element of a finite field(s) as first inputs, receives a plurality of second bits expressing a second element of a finite field(s) as second inputs. In response to the first and second random numbers, the inverter outputs a plurality of third bits expressing the inverse elements of the first element. The first random number prevents a different power analysis (DPA) decryption attack, and the second random number prevents a timing decryption attack.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting data reception unit receives digital broadcasting data. A multimedia module parses the digital broadcasting data into video and audio data to output the video and audio data. A terminal control unit receives the digital broadcasting data from the digital broadcasting data reception unit when it is transmitted to the multimedia module, and parses the received digital broadcasting data into the video and audio data. A memory unit stores the video and audio data into which the digital broadcasting data is parsed by the terminal control unit according to a control operation of the terminal control unit.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a white light emitting diode package comprises the steps of mounting a light emitting diode on a package substrate having at least one lead frame, preparing phosphor paste having a viscosity of 500˜10,000 cps by mixing phosphor powders and a transparent polymer resin, dispensing liquid droplets of the phosphor paste on an upper surface of the light emitting diode such that the phosphor paste is applied onto the upper surface and side surfaces of the light emitting diode, and curing the phosphor paste applied onto the light emitting diode.

Abstract: A telephone-controlled home appliance system and a method for controlling the same are provided. Thus, a remote user can remotely control a plurality of home appliances inside of a home using a remote telephone. A telephone control module is contained in each of the home appliances to detect ringing signals received over a telephone line. If the number of the detected ringing signals is equal to a predetermined reference value, each home appliance automatically enters an off-hook state to make a call connection with the remote telephone. Even though a plurality of telephone jacks are commonly connected to the telephone line and the home appliances are in turn connected to respective telephone jacks, the user can access the respective home appliances from a remote site to simultaneously/individually control them. Therefore, the plurality of home appliances can be remotely controlled over the telephone line in a simple manner.

A low-price built-in server is installed in each household appliance to assign the corresponding appliance a unique IP address simply over the Internet to be controlled according to an external user control command. A home server is connected to each of the household appliances such that the corresponding appliance receives a control command, sent in transit by a user from a mobile terminal.

Abstract: For digital rights management (DRM), a method for performing authentication between a device and a portable storage, which is performed by the device, includes transmitting a first key to the portable storage, receiving a third key and a first encrypted random number obtained by encrypting a first random number using the first key from the portable storage and decrypting the first encrypted random number using a second key related with the first key, generating a second encrypted random number by encrypting a second random number using the third key and transmitting the second encrypted random number to the portable storage, and generating a session key using the first random number and the second random number. The technique guarantees secure authentication between the device and the portable storage for DRM.

The remote electronic device is configured to input control commands to some or all of the air conditioners on the basis of the registered profile information. Abstract: The present invention discloses a flash type analog to digital converting method, comprising: (a) receiving an analog signal and generating 128-bit digital thermometer code based on the analog signal; (b) 3rd-compressing the 128-bit thermometer code to generate a 16-bit thermometer code and a 3-bit carry; and (c) encoding the 128-bit thermometer code to generate a 7-bit digital signal. Therefore, a layout area can be reduced because, after a 2n-bit thermometer code is compressed, the compressed digital signal is encoded to generate an n-bit digital signal.
