    Abstract: A continuously variable valve timing device is provided and includes a cam sprocket connected with a camshaft having a plurality of cams to rotate the camshaft and an electric variable valve timing mechanism connected with the cam sprocket, and driven by an electric motor. A chain cover protects the cam sprocket and a chain system from foreign substances and an electric variable valve timing mechanism cover protects the electric variable valve timing mechanism from foreign substances. A seal ring partitions an internal space between the electric variable valve timing mechanism and the electric variable valve timing mechanism cover. In addition, a pressure maintaining device is mounted within the electric variable valve timing mechanism cover to maintain pressure formed within the internal space of the electric variable valve timing mechanism cover at about atmospheric pressure.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a superconducting rotating electrical machine and a manufacturing method for a high temperature superconducting film thereof. The superconducting rotating electrical machine includes a stator, and a rotor rotatable with respect to the stator, the rotor having a rotary shaft and a rotor winding. Here, the rotor winding includes tubes disposed on a circumference of the rotary shaft and each forming a passage for a cooling fluid therein, superconducting wires accommodated within the tubes, and a cooling fluid flowing through the inside of the tubes. This configuration may allow for direct heat exchange between the superconducting wires and a refrigerant, resulting in improvement of heat exchange efficiencies of the superconducting wires.

The superconducting rotating machine includes a rotator wound with a superconducting coil, a stator enclosing the rotator and separated therefrom by a predetermined gap, the cooler having a cold head directly attached to the rotator and at least one compressor connected with the cold head, and a flexible coupling disposed between the cold head and the compressor and enabling a cryogenic refrigerant to flow therein. The cold head is directly connected to the rotator, and the cold head and the compressor are driven using the flexible coupling, so that it is possible to prevent vibration of the compressor and enhance cooling efficiency by thermally separating the cryogenic cold head from the compressor.
