    Abstract: A method for preparing a light-emitting layer, the light-emitting layer, an organic light emitting diode (OLED) device, and a display apparatus are provided. The light-emitting layer is prepared by preparing a host material containing a first photocrosslinker group and a guest material containing a second photocrosslinker group. The host material and the guest material are mixed in a solvent to form a mixture. The mixture is coated, annealed, and UV-irradiated on a substrate to form the light-emitting layer. As such, the disclosed light-emitting layer is prepared by the polymerization after being on the substrate. The light-emitting layer has a mesh structure. The mesh structure improves energy transfer between the host material and guest material and increases the lifespan of the resultant OLED device and OLED display apparatus.

    Abstract: After formation of an alternating stack of insulating layers and sacrificial material layers, a memory opening can be formed through the alternating stack, which is subsequently filled with a columnar semiconductor pedestal portion and a memory stack structure. Breakage of the columnar semiconductor pedestal portion under mechanical stress can be avoided by growing a laterally protruding semiconductor portion by selective deposition of a semiconductor material after removal of the sacrificial material layers to form backside recesses. At least an outer portion of the laterally protruding semiconductor portion can be oxidized to form a tubular semiconductor oxide spacer. Electrically conductive layers can be formed in the backside recesses to provide word lines for a three-dimensional memory device.

    Abstract: A dental drill head, constituted of a head housing, a wind wheel, and bearings, the head housing being constituted of a head housing cover and a head housing cavity, and the wind wheel being constituted of a wind wheel shaft and wind wheel blades. An anti-suck-back device is configured between the head housing cover and a wind wheel shaft end part to which the wind wheel shaft corresponds. The present invention, which adopts the aforementioned technical scheme, firstly makes it possible to reduce the intake in of contaminants when suck-back is taking place as the impeller is braked; and secondly, while there is still a positive pressure inside the head, the rubber head covering uses elastic force to brake the impeller and completely prevents the intake of contaminants. Moreover, the structure is simple and costs are low. Since the pressing area is reduced and the cavity is arranged between the rubber layers and the head covering, the teeth are less susceptible to touching the pressing portion.

    Abstract: A derivative spectroscopy system for achieving a tunable resolution of 2 nm or less in resolving spectral components of an input optical signal is provided so as to estimate derivative spectra of the input optical signal based on the resolved spectral components. In the system, a first dispersive-element structure spectrally decomposes the input optical signal into subband signals. A second dispersive-element structure receives part or all of the subband signals and spectrally decomposes the received subband signals to plural spectral components. A material having a temperature-variant refractive index is used to build the second dispersive-element structure, enabling a shift of center wavelength of each spectral component as small as 2 nm of less upon changing a temperature of the second dispersive-element structure.

    Abstract: A compact device useful for measuring an absorption spectrum of a liquid, such as water with organic contaminants, is provided. The device comprises an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) each emitting light with a unique spectral peak. A reflector shaped as a half ellipsoid reflects the emitted light to form a reference beam. The reflector has an opening to allow part of the emitted light to form a measurement beam after passing through the liquid. Two photodetectors measure the reference beam and the measurement beam to give a reference intensity and a measured intensity, respectively. The LEDs sequentially emit showers of light one-by-one, giving plural pairs of reference and measured intensities for estimating the absorption spectrum. The device receives energy from a separate power-providing device through wireless power transfer. The power-providing device harvests motional energy of the flowing liquid to generate electrical energy.
