Abstract: A board-to-board connector comprises a receptacle and a plug. The receptacle is composed of a receptacle housing and a plurality of first terminals parallelized. The plug is also composed of a plug housing and a plurality of second terminals parallelized. Meanwhile, the present invention provides a first design which forms a projection on the second terminal, a second design which defines a flange on the receptacle housing and a first wedge hole on the plug housing in accordance with the flange, and a third design which forms a retention portion and a locking portion on the first terminal and a second wedge hole on the plug housing in accordance with the locking portion, thereby avoiding terminals yield and providing a stable improved retention between the receptacle and the plug.

Abstract: A latching device used in a card edge connector for the installation of an auxiliary card such as a memory module card is disclosed. The card edge connector comprises a receptacle body and two latching devices located at two sides of the receptacle body. The latching device comprises: a movable part including an elongated flat plate having a fixed end and a free end, and a latching member located near to the flexible free end for detachably latching the auxiliary card to be inserted and rotated to its installation position; a fixed part comprising an elongated flat plate, an inserting portion extending from the flat plate for inserting into a mounting hole of the receptacle body, and an inserting/rotating stop extending from the flat plate for limiting depth with respect to the auxiliary card being inserted and angle with respect to the auxiliary card being rotated.

Abstract: A shock absorbing device includes an upper cap, a plurality of absorbing blocks, a plurality of middle elements and a lower cap, each of the upper cap, the lower cap and the middle elements has a hole centrally defined therein for a shaft extending therethrough, the absorbing block disposed between the upper cap and the following middle element, every two adjacent middle elements and the middle element adjacent the lower cap and the lower cap, the upper cap, the lower cap and each of the middle elements having a skirt portion extending vertically from a respective periphery thereof, the adjacent skirt portions will abut each other because of the deformation of the absorbing block disposed therebetween wherein the deformation does not yet reach an elastic fatigue point of the absorbing block.
