Abstract: A monitoring server receives the latest monitored data and corresponding monitoring time from monitoring devices connected to the server at a specified time interval. The monitoring server records monitored data of each monitoring item and the corresponding monitoring time to a pointed node of a device data list, and adds the monitored data and the corresponding monitoring time, which are recorded in the pointed node of the device data list, into a monitored data list. When a web server requests real-time monitored data, corresponding monitored data is read from the device data list and sent to the web server. When the web server requests historical monitored data of an designated period, corresponding monitored data of the designated period is read from the monitored data list and sent to the web server.

Abstract: In a method for processing an image file using a computing device, an image file from a storage system is read. If an image in the image file is slanted, an incision coordinates according to a configuration file in the storage system and a preset formula is calculated. The method incises the image using the calculated incision coordinates and storing the incised image in a new image file. If an image in the new image file is not slanted, the method further determines whether the image has been incised. If the image has been incised, the method records the calculated incision coordinates that make the image not be slanted as optimal incision coordinates, and stores the optimal incision coordinates into a database.

Abstract: In a method for splitting an image for encoding purposes, a largest coding unit (LCU) of the image is obtained, the LCU divided into a plurality of 2N×2N blocks, the 2N×2N blocks examined sequentially, and a determination made as to whether or not the current 2N×2N block needs to be split according to a pixel variance of the current 2N×2N block. The method further determines whether a block merging operation needs to be executed for the LCUs according to an average value of pixels of each of the 2N×2N blocks if the current 2N×2N block does not need to be split.

Abstract: In a method for updating data of a server, the server receives a modification operation from a client device communicating with the server. Data corresponding to the modification operation is obtained, and a database of the server for storing the obtained data is determined. The server further sends a prompt to the client device for confirming a successful modification of the obtained data, and updates the obtained data to the determined database and other databases that share the obtained data with the determined database.

Abstract: In a method for managing warning information of a computing device, when an equipment fault is detected, the method determines whether or not a unique identification code of the detected equipment fault is recorded in a list. If the unique identification code of the detected equipment fault is recorded in the list, the method determines whether or not a frequency of occurrences of the detected equipment fault exceeds a preset value. If the frequency of occurrences of the detected equipment fault does not exceed a preset value, warning information of the detected equipment fault is generated. Otherwise, if the frequency of occurrences of the detected equipment fault exceeds a preset value, the method stops generating the warning information.

Abstract: The present invention provides a blue-tooth communication system and broadcasting methods thereof. The broadcasting method includes: firstly, detecting N blue-tooth receivers in a blue-tooth range of a blue-tooth transmitter, wherein N is a positive integer; and broadcasting a data package by the blue-tooth transmitter in a first transmission timing window; then respectively receiving N acknowledgement packages from the blue-tooth receiver by the blue-tooth transmitter in a plurality of reception timing windows.

Abstract: A computing device recognizes text data from an image file using an optical character recognition (OCR). The computing device processes the recognized text data using a fault-tolerant lexicon to extract key text. The computing device verifies that text data of a text file match the text data of the image file, upon the condition that the text data of the text file comprises the key text.

Abstract: An intra prediction method executed by a processor of an electronic device is disclosed. The method allows the electronic device to obtain a prediction unit of an image, and to set a search range for the prediction unit based on a reconstruction region of the image. The search range includes a plurality of predicted blocks. The electronic device further measures similarities between the prediction unit and each of the plurality of predicted blocks, determines a reference block based on the similarities, and predicts the prediction unit based on the reference block.

Abstract: A distributed storage system receives a file from a client, stores the file into different storage units in the system, creates a system log in an access entry and creates a unit log in each storage unit. The system log records information of all files stored in the system, and the unit log in each storage unit records information of all files stored in the storage unit. When a file stored in a first storage unit is lost or destroyed, the system determines a second storage unit that stores the same file as the first storage unit according to the information recorded in the system log and the unit logs, and repairs the file in the first storage unit by copying the same file from the second storage unit to the first storage unit.

Abstract: An image retrieval method applies an application server, one or more calculating servers, and a sorting server to perform image retrieval. The application server extracts visual features of an exemplary image. The one or more calculating servers calculate similarities of available images according to the visual features of the exemplary image. The sorting server sorts the available images according to the similarities so as to obtain images similar to the exemplary image.

Abstract: A cloud server sets upper stock limits, lower stock limits, and stocks for virtual machines (VMs) having different configuration specifications in the cloud server. When the VM stock of the VMs having the configuration specification is greater than a corresponding lower stock limit of the VMs, the cloud server calculates a supplement of the VMs having one configuration specification according to the corresponding stock and the upper stock limit of the VMs having the configuration specification. The cloud server further configures the number of the supplement of the VMs having the configuration specification in the cloud server.

Abstract: In a file download method executed by a computing device, a download address for each file is generated. The addressed file is stored in a storage system connected to the computing device. In response to a download start request, an addressed file is retrieved from the storage system and transformed into a data stream. Data blocks with a specific length are read from the data stream and transmitted to the client computer. In response to a download suspend request, an offset address is recorded, and transmission of the data blocks is suspended. In response to a download resume request, data blocks of the data stream are read from the offset address and transmission of the data blocks to the client computer is resumed. In response to a download stop request, the transmission of any data block to the client computer is stopped.

Abstract: In a distributed encoding and decoding method, a destination file is requested from a master server by a client device, and the master server selects source servers that store the destination file or segments thereof. The master server further computes priorities of the source servers, and selects encoding servers according to the priorities. The master server segments the destination file in each of the encoding servers into file segments, and distributes the file segments to the encoding servers. Each of the encoding servers encodes one or more distributed file segments, and transmits the file segments to the client device. The client device receives and decodes the file segments and integrates the file segments to generate a complete the destination file.

Abstract: Method of managing video snapshot of receiving bitstreams of a video and bitstream parameters of the received bitstreams from a server through a network channel. The electronic device is connected to the server. The server encodes the video into an encoded file using an encoder of the server. The encoded file comprises a plurality of bitstreams. The plurality of bitstreams in the encoded file comprising a plurality of enhancement layers. According to a selection of a user of the electronic device, a snapshot grade is determined. According to the received bitstreams and the determined snapshot grade, additional enhancement layers which are not comprised in the received bitstreams are acquired from the encoded file in the server through the network channel. Based on the acquired additional enhancement layers, a video snapshot is generated.
