Abstract: A client device obtains data from a universal serial bus (USB) device and compresses the data. The client device sends the compressed data to a server using a USB redirection. The server decompresses the compressed data and sends the decompressed data to a virtual machine installed in the server. The client device remotely accesses decompressed data when the decompressed data is stored into the virtual machine.

Abstract: A management server includes a control module. The management server electronically connects with one or more firewall, and each firewall connects one or more VMs which are installed in the same or different hosts. The control module sends a firewall setting command to a firewall agent module of each firewall, and controls the firewall agent module to set parameters of the firewall according to the firewall setting command. Furthermore, the control module sends a VM control command to a host agent module of each host, and controls the host agent module to perform one or more operations on one or more VMs in the host.

Abstract: A server remotely share files in a desktop to one or more clients. The server assigns a meeting desktop to a client according to the assignment request, and receives login requests from other clients for logging in the meeting desktop. The server authorizes a control privilege to a shared client that needs to share files. The server receives the files from the shared client. Then the server opens and shares the files in the meeting desktop to share with all clients in the meeting desktop.

Abstract: In a method for expanding hardware functions of a computing device, a virtual component is created in the computing device. The virtual component corresponds to a physical component desired by the computing device. The computing device detects an electronic device equipped with the physical component. A communication channel between the virtual component and the electronic device is established. Via the communication channel, a data processing request and data requested to be processed by the computing device are transferred from the computing device to the electronic device. The computing device receives a processing result of the data from the electronic device, and stores the processing result in a storage system.

Abstract: A method provides fast data transmission between electronic devices, and avoids network congestion. A number of electronic devices in a network are divided into a client group including client devices and a server group including service devices. A control device for each client device is appointed from among the service devices according to a connection quality between the client device and the service device, and a route path between every two service devices is determined according to a connection quality between every two service devices. A route table of each service device is created according to the route path between every two service devices, and requested data is transmitted from a target device to a request device according to the route path.

Abstract: In a method for an electronic device to adjust fool-proofing functions of operations, an algorithm corresponding to each of the operations, and ranges for triggering the fool-proofing functions of the operations are preset. When an operation inputted by an operator is obtained, the method calculates a skilled value of the operation according to reference parameters of the operator and an algorithm corresponding to the operation. The method further determines a fool-proofing function of the operation that is triggered by the electronic device according to the skilled value and the ranges for triggering the fool-proofing functions, and adjusts the electronic device to execute the determined fool-proofing function.

Abstract: In a web search optimization method, a keyword is inputted by a user, and an image of the user is captured to identify facial feature data of the user. When there is facial feature data matched with the identified facial feature data in a storage device of the electronic device, reference parameters which corresponds to the identified facial feature data are obtained, and web pages in a searched result relating to the keyword are ranked according to the reference parameters.

Abstract: In a method for transmitting videos from a server to a client, a frame of one of the videos is captured, and a capture time of the frame is recorded into a storage device of the server. When the capturing time of the frame is greater than all of an encoding time, a transmitting time, and a decoding time of a previous frame, a bit rate of encoding the frame is adjusted to decrease a size of the frame and then the frame is encoded according to the adjusted bit rate. When the capture time of the frame is equal to or less than any of the encode time, the transmitting time, and the decoding time of the previous frame, the frame is encoded normally. The frame is then transmitted to the client device.

If the DHCP server has allocated an IP address to a host, the method accesses the new created host based on the newly allocated IP address, and obtains a hardware specification of the host. Furthermore, the method determines an HHS file for the new created host according to the hardware specification of the host, and remotely controls the installment of the HHS file in the new created host.

Abstract: A method creates one or more virtual machine (VM) templates, and stores the one or more templates in a storage device. When one host requests to create a VM, the system selects a VM template from the storage device according to a hardware specification of the requested VM, copies hardware configuration information recorded in the selected VM template, and creates the VM in the host according to the copied information. The method requests a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server to allocate an IP address to the VM via a DHCP agent, and assigns the IP address allocated by the DHCP server to the VM via a host agent.
