  • Publication number: 20140356170
Abstract: An oil return structure for fan includes a base, a bearing, a retaining ring and a rotor. The base has a bearing cup internally defining a receiving space for receiving the bearing therein. The bearing has a centered and axially extended shaft hole. The retaining ring is located at a front end of the bearing and has a central hole. The rotor includes a hub and a shaft. The shaft is extended through the central hole of the retaining ring into the shaft hole of the bearing, and is provided with an annular groove corresponding to the retaining ring. Oil in the bearing flowing to the annular groove during fan operation is centrifugally pulled out of the shaft and then caught by the retaining ring, from where the oil returns to the bearing. Therefore, loss of oil from the bearing is largely reduced to ensure extended fan service life.

  • Publication number: 20110286869
Abstract: A support structure of a cooling fan includes a base and a tube. The base has a raised section perpendicularly extending from the base and defining a first opening with a first inner diameter. A reception section is formed between the base and the raised section and has a first end and a second end connected with the raised section and base respectively. A second opening is formed between the first and second ends in communication with the first opening and has a second inner diameter equal to the first inner diameter and a third inner diameter larger than the second inner diameter. The tube is fitted in the first and second openings and has a first flange and a second flange mated with the raised section and reception section respectively. The second flange has a third end and a fourth end corresponding to the first and second ends respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110243718
Abstract: A reinforced fan frame structure includes a frame body and at least one metal ring. The frame body has a seat portion with a centered bearing cup axially forward extended from the seat portion. The metal ring is integrally associated with the seat portion and has an inner circumferential edge facing toward the bearing cup. With the metal ring integrally associated with the seat portion of the frame body, it is able to effectively control the deformation and the flatness of the seat portion and accordingly, effectively upgrade the overall structural strength of the seat portion.

  • Patent number: 7329095
Abstract: A blower capable of reducing secondary flow comprises a frame and a wheel blade part. The wheel blade part is mounted in the frame. The wheel blade part is composed of a hub and a plurality of blades surrounding the hub. The frame is composed of a base and an upper lid plate with a projection part being provided at inner side of the base. The projection part corresponds to the blades on the wheel blade part. A first guide part and a second guide part are provided at an air passage of the base near an opening thereof. The secondary flow produced in the blower can be reduced by way of the projection at the inner side of the base and the first and second guide parts at the air passage of the base near the opening thereof.

  • Patent number: 7113403
Abstract: A centrifugal fan type cooling module includes a centrifugal fan and a radiator. The centrifugal fan provides a fan rotor with fan blades and an axial shaft and a fan stator set with an axial core, an upper cover and a frame. The fan blades extend straight forward radially with the outer end of each fan blade has an enlarged curve end part and the rest part of the respective fan blade has a width shorter than the axial shaft. The frame encloses and fits with the top of the radiator and the axial shaft is rotationally joined to the axial core such that a hollow space is formed between the radiator and the fan rotor. Heat from an electronic component is transmited to the radiator and removed outward quickly in all directions by way of upward suction force of the centrifugal fan instead of contacting other electronic members directly.

  • Publication number: 20050225941
Abstract: A centrifugal fan type cooling module includes a centrifugal fan and a radiator. The centrifugal fan provides a fan rotor with fan blades and an axial shaft and a fan stator set with an axial core, an upper cover and a frame. The radiator provides cooling fins and is mounted to the centrifugal fan with the frame. Heat generated by an electronic component and radiated by the radiator can be removed outward quickly in all directions by way of upward suction force of the centrifugal fan and the L shaped fan blades of the centrifugal fan to avoid air flow carrying heat contacting other electronic members directly for enhancing effect of the cooling module.
