  • Patent number: 6108425
Abstract: The capabilities of a cryptographic module are controlled by a crypto configuration control (CCC) register that is initialized by one or more self-signed commands that are preformulated and signed with the digital signature key of the crypto module itself. The crypto module accepts a self-signed command only if the self-signature can be validated using the signature verification key of the module. In one implementation, the final configuration is determined by a single self-signed command. In another implementation, a first self-signed command is used to create an temporary configuration that allows one or more initialization authorities to issue additional commands fixing the final configuration. The self-signed commands are maintained separately from the crypto module and are distributed to the end user either physically or electronically.

  • Patent number: 6104810
Abstract: Pseudorandom numbers are generated in a cryptographic module in a cryptographically strong manner by combining a time-dependent value with a secret value and passing the result through a one-way hash function to generate a hash value from which a random number is generated. The secret value is continually updated whenever the cryptographic module is idle by a first feedback function that generates an updated secret value as a one-way function of the current secret value and the time-dependent value. In addition, the secret value is updated on the occurrence of a predetermined external event by a second feedback function that generates an updated secret value as a one-way function of the current secret value, the time-dependent value and an externally supplied value.

  • Patent number: 6079338
Abstract: A collapsible leisure table mainly includes a collapsible support portion and a foldable tabletop. The support portion includes four telescopic legs each having an inner tube and an outer tube and four pairs of intersected and pivotally connected diagonal struts. Lower ends of the outer tubes and upper ends of the inner tubes of the telescopic legs as well as lower and upper ends of the diagonal struts are connected to four lower and four upper locating seats, respectively. Two links are pivotally connected at their respective one end to two diagonally opposite upper locating seats. The two links may be located in two long grooves provided on top surfaces of another two upper locating seats with their another right-angled ends firmly hooking to outer ends of the long grooves and thereby lock the diagonal struts in a fully extended and stably erected state.

  • Patent number: 5982814
Abstract: A host signal processor (HSP) modem which includes procedures executed in response to interrupts has a CPU utilization control procedure which uses the numbers of clock cycles associated with modem tasks and the total number of clock cycles between interrupts to select a task for execution during the interrupts. The utilization control procedure changes or selects the task as required to automatically adjust the HSP modem for the available processing power and a desired maximum percentage utilization of a host computer. For example, the task can be selected to match the data transfer rate of the HSP modem with available processing power. The HSP modem is more robust and is operable in host computers having relatively low processing power. A user can change the maximum utilization of processing power used by the HSP modem so that more processing power is available for other purposes.

  • Patent number: 5924463
Abstract: A portable emergency instant inflation device includes a box and a fastening plate with slots. The upper side of the box is provided with fastening hooks for engaging slots of the fastening plate. An inflation tube is formed at one end of the box. A tie string extends from the other end of the box to connect to a pull ring. A partition plate with through holes is disposed inside the box to divide the interior of the box into upper and lower spaces. The upper space contains a sac filled with citric acid solution while the lower space is filled with soda powder. The lower space further communicates with the inflation tube, which is internally provided with a valve flap. A slide cutter is further disposed in the upper space and has cutting edges slightly abutting the sac. The slide cutter is connected to the tie string via a cutter mount.

  • Patent number: 5861127
Abstract: A portable air purifying apparatus including a high frequency voltage booster and an anion generator. The high frequency voltage booster is comprised of a control box accommodating therein a circuit board and two batteries. The circuit board has electronic components assembled thereon to form a high frequency high voltage circuit for generating high frequency high voltage pulse currents when the batteries supply electric currents. The anion generator is comprised of a generator body accommodating therein a discharge electrode, a necklace attached to the generator body, and a terminal connector. The generator body has two air vents. The high frequency voltage booster and the anion generator may be carried around by the user.

  • Patent number: 4041499
Abstract: Disclosed is a coaxial waveguide antenna. In a basic form the coaxial waveguide horn for the antenna comprises an inner section operating in a .SIGMA. (sum) mode only and an outer section operating in a .DELTA. (difference) mode only. Where required for broadband (i.e., for more than 1 octave), intermediate sections operating in .SIGMA. and .DELTA. modes are provided. The basic structure operates in the linear mode; for polarization diversity and circular polarization, a polarizer is placed in front of the horn, or a dielectric sheet is positioned within a coaxial waveguide section at an angle of 45.degree. as to the E field, or by feeding the coaxial waveguide with six or more number of probes.
