  • Patent number: 8284572
Abstract: Current control method and apparatus are disclosed. A current limiter is coupled to a switch connected in series with an energy transfer element of a power supply. The current limiter detects a current flowing through the switch and, when the current exceeds a current limit signal, turns off the switch. A limit signal generator provides the current limit signal, detects the maximum current value of the current, and updates the current limit signal according to the maximum current value and an ideal current limit value.

  • Patent number: 8269584
Abstract: An incorrect-circuit deactivation device of a magnetic GFCI outlet includes an electromagnetic coil seat, a magneto-conductive core driven by the electromagnetic coil seat to displace, and two magnetic elements located on both sides of the magneto-conductive core. The magneto-conductive core is connected to a first electrical conductive end. The first electrical conductive end is positioned to face a second electrical conductive end. Electric power is supplied when the first electrical conductive end is brought into contact with the second electrical conductive end. The electromagnetic coil seat senses a reverse current to make the magneto-conductive core to displace toward one of the magnetic elements when there is a ground fault, thereby departing the first electrical conductive end from the second electrical conductive end to cut off the electric current.

  • Patent number: 8238490
Abstract: A method for determining a Doppler shift of a first signal is provided. First, a plurality of Doppler frequency hypotheses is combined to obtain a joint Doppler signal. The first signal is the correlated according to the joint Doppler signal and a plurality of code signals with phases corresponding to a series of code phase hypotheses to obtain a series of correlation results which are then examined to determine whether the Doppler shift does lie in the Doppler hypotheses. A fine Doppler search is then performed to determine the Doppler shift when the Doppler shift lies in the Doppler hypotheses.

  • Publication number: 20120161727
Abstract: In a switching mode power supply, a power controlling circuit includes a phase generator and a phase controller. The phase generator provides a clock signal. The phase controller detects phases of a phase reference signal and a burst initialization signal so as to generate a burst signal, and causes a phase of the burst signal to not be earlier than the phase of the group reference signal. The burst signal is utilized for switching the power supply between a non-switching state and a switching state. The group reference signal is generated according to the clock signal and has a lower frequency than the clock signal. The burst initialization signal is controlled by an output voltage source of the power supply.

  • Patent number: 8115723
Abstract: The present invention relates to a driving circuit for a display panel, which comprises a pre-charge power supply, a pre-charge switch, a buffer circuit, and a plurality of resistive devices. The pre-charge switch is coupled between the pre-charge power supply and a capacitor of the display panel. The buffer circuit is used for buffering a data signal and producing a buffer signal. The plurality of resistive devices is connected in series and coupled to the buffer circuit, and produces a plurality of driving signals therebetween according to the buffer signal. The driving circuit first closes the pre-charge switch to make the pre-charge power supply charge the capacitor. Then, one of the plurality of driving signals charges the capacitor. Thereby, the driving time can be shortened, and power of the display can be saved by avoiding power consumption on resistors.

  • Patent number: 8115724
Abstract: The present invention relates to a driving circuit for a display panel, and comprises a switching module, a buffer circuit, and a plurality of resistive devices. The switching module is coupled to a first power supply and a second power supply. The voltage of the first power supply is smaller than that of the second power supply. The buffer circuit is coupled to the switching module, and is used for buffering a data signal and producing a buffer signal. The plurality of resistive devices is connected in series and coupled to the buffer circuit, and produces a plurality of driving signals between the plurality of resistive devices according to the buffer signal. The driving circuit switches between the first power supply and second power supply sequentially to supply power to the buffer circuit. Thereby, one of the plurality of driving signals charges a capacitor of the display panel for saving power of the driving circuit. Accordingly, the power of the display can be saved.

  • Publication number: 20120008343
Abstract: A high-voltage device provides a constant current drained from a high voltage source to charge a filter capacitor, where a voltage level of the higher voltage source is higher than 90 volts. When the operation voltage of the filter capacitor exceeds a first predetermined value, the charging of the filter capacitor by the constant current is stopped. A feedback loop is then used to maintain the operating voltage at substantially a second predetermined value lower than the first one.

  • Patent number: 8090002
Abstract: A spreading signal acquisition and tracking method and apparatus is proposed. In accordance with the present invention, coherent integrations are performed by segments and stored for a non-coherent integration. A better freedom of the non-coherent interval selection is provided. The window of the non-coherent integration is sequentially and gradually shifted to achieve better update rate to its detection circuit and to improve searching and tracking for a spreading signal. By using the present invention, rapid signal acquisition can be achieved even when intensity of the spreading signal is very weak, or even when deeper signal blocking or jamming occurs.

  • Patent number: 8059699
Abstract: Disclosed is a low power consumption GNSS receiver by adaptively adjusting clock frequency. A correlator performs correlations to signals received from the channels with a correlator clock frequency. A DSP controls the correlator clock frequency according to a correlator load to performing correlations. The DSP calculates and adjusts code phases and Doppler frequencies for the signals in turn with a DSP clock frequency. The DSP controls the DSP clock frequency according to an accumulated throughput of calculation and adjustment or a predetermined threshold number of channels. The DSP controls the RF power according to the correlator load. A microprocessor processes a measurement result of the calculation and the adjustment for obtaining position information with a microprocessor clock frequency. The microprocessor controls the microprocessor clock frequency according to an accumulated progress of processing the measurement result. Accordingly, reducing power consumption for the GNSS receiver can be realized.
