  • Publication number: 20180126758
Abstract: In a method for an inkjet printing system, substantially parallel lines are printed in the transport direction with nozzles at different longitudinal positions along the transport direction of the recording medium. Based on the variations of the transversal distance of corresponding image points of the substantially parallel lines, the transversal movement of the recording medium may be detected and a dimension of the transversal movement may be determined.

  • Patent number: 7060509
Abstract: The invention is used in the field of materials engineering and relates to a method for defining reference magnetizations which could be used, for example, in magnetic sensor technology components. The object of the present invention is to disclose a method for defining reference magnetizations in layer systems, whereby the reference directions can be selected as desired with regard to number and spatial direction. The object is attained through a method for defining reference magnetizations in layer systems in which at least one layer system is produced by geometrically structuring a hard-magnetic and/or soft-magnetic layer and by applying the hard-magnetic and/or soft magnetic layer to at least one antiferromagnetic layer before, during or after a single-stage or multi-stage thermal treatment, whereby the temperature is increased at least to a temperature greater than the coupling temperature and the layer system is cooled afterwards.

  • Patent number: 7003149
Abstract: A method for monitoring fabrication processes of finely structured surfaces in a semiconductor fabrication includes the steps of providing reference signatures of finely structured surfaces, measuring at least one signature of a test specimen surface, comparing the measured signature with the reference signatures, and classifying the test specimen surface by using the comparison results, wherein the measurement of the reference signatures is carried out by measuring the local distribution and/or intensity distribution of diffraction images on production prototypes having a specified quality. • Patent number: 6986339
Abstract: Method for operating an internal combustion engine in which fuel is injected into a combustion chamber by an injector. The injector has a drivable piezo-actuator. A setpoint value is generated for driving the piezo-actuator. A setpoint charge quantity (QCsetpoint) is determined from the setpoint value, and an actual charge quantity (QCactual) supplied to the piezo-actuator is determined. The setpoint charge quantity (QCsetpoint) and the actual charge quantity (QCactual) are combined, and the combined result (Son) acts upon the drive circuit of the piezo-actuator.

  • Patent number: 6968544
Abstract: A method for converting interface definitions within a source code program into an intermediate format includes identifying with a computer system objects in a source code program and interfaces in the objects. Interface properties are determined including an internal interface for producing a link from an object with interfaces located outside the source code program, and an input and/or output interface. Links are identified including an internal link between an interface and an input interface between identified objects, and an external link of an external interface. An intermediate format table is created having rows in a dimension, second rows in another dimension, and cells disposed at intersections thereof. Designation are assigned for each identified object to rows in the first and for each identified link to rows in the second. Designations for associated interfaces are inserted in the cells.

  • Patent number: 6784445
Abstract: The apparatus allows monitoring layer depositions in a process chamber. The apparatus has a light source, a sensor element, and at least one light detector. The sensor element is suitably configured in order to influence the intensity of the light beam measured by the detector by the thickness of the layer growing on the sensor element. The novel monitoring method for measuring the transmitted light intensity utilizes the apparatus. The sensor element has a continuous opening through which the intensity of the light is observed as a function of the opening grown over by the thickness of the growing layer.

  • Patent number: 6724475
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring angle-dependent diffraction effects includes a coherent radiation source, a device for deflecting the coherent radiation in different directions, a spherical or aspherical mirror or mirror segments configured to correspond to a spherical or aspherical mirror, and a detector unit for measuring the intensity of the radiation diffracted at a specimen. The radiation deflected in different directions is reflected by the mirror configuration in such a way that the coherent beam is deflected onto the specimen with different angles of incidence in a temporally successively sequential manner. For this purpose, the angle of incidence of the measuring beam is altered continuously or in small steps. The intensities of the direct reflection (zero-order diffraction) and also of the higher orders of diffraction that may occur are measured. This evaluation allows conclusions to be drawn regarding the form and material of the periodic structures examined.
