Patent number: 12273725Abstract: A mobile device performs authentication with blinded tokens and swaps its international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) value. For authentication with blinded tokens, the mobile device generates a blinded token and provides it to a server to encrypt. To redeem the token, the mobile device unblinds the encrypted blinded token and provides it to the server along with a public key. To complete authentication, the mobile device receives, from the server, a nonce encrypted with the public key and decrypts the nonce with a private key. For swapping its IMSI value, the mobile device retrieves two eSIM profiles with corresponding IMSI values and configures the first of the two profiles as active. In response to a trigger, the mobile device changes the active profile from the first to the second, swaps the first IMSI value with a new IMSI value, and changes the active profile back to the first profile.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2023Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: Private Tech Inc.Inventors: David Seth Dunn, Christopher William Stokes, Nicholas John Espinoza, Stephen James Dowhy, Clifford Marcus Owenby, John McKinstry Doyle

Patent number: 11359808Abstract: This invention relates to a burner (1) for burning a suspension of solid fuel in oxygen containing gas. A portion of the suspension is passed through a first conduit (10) which contains a bluff body (12) and helical vanes to impart turbulence and swirl to the suspension. A further portion of the suspension is passed through a second conduit (40) which is coaxial with the first conduit. Means for varying the relative sizes of each portion are provided. The arrangement allows improved fuel/air mixing, flame shape, heat transfer and control of NOx emissions.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2014Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Metso Minerals OyInventors: Clifford John Rennie, Christopher Phillip Sansom, Clayton Holmes

Patent number: 9543049Abstract: An apparatus for holding radioactive objects includes a base and a central pillar extending upwardly between a bottom end coupled to the base and a top end above the base. A plurality of inner segments are spaced around the central pillar, and a plurality of outer segments are spaced around the inner segments to form pairs. The inner segments, the outer segments and the central pillar may be coupled together to permit limited radial movement of at least one of the segments of each pair. Each pair may define a generally vertical, object-receiving channel arranged between the inner and outer segment of the pair. The segments of each pair may be adapted to bear against an object in the channel of the pair to laterally restrain the object and facilitate heat transfer from the object.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2015Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: ATOMIC ENERGY OF CANADA LIMITED / ÉNERGIE ATOMIQUE DU CANADA LIMITÉEInventors: Malcolm James Clough, Austin Thomas Jackson, Clifford John Joseph Dugal, Daniel Harry Martin, James Edward Allan McGregor, William Thomas Diamond

Patent number: 8662453Abstract: An air intake for a supersonic air-breathing flight vehicle introduces or injects fluid in order to create predetermined regions of separated flow and an attendant fluid shear layer. This shear layer forms an aerodynamic boundary for the capture flow with a profile determined and optimised by appropriate injection of fluid. The aerodynamic boundary so generated replaces mechanically moveable solid surfaces used to vary the geometry of prior-art intakes. Use of an introduced or injected fluid can provide an advantage of a variable geometry, but with reduced weight and reduced mechanical complexity. In some embodiments, the injection of fluid has the effect of re-energizing any ingested boundary layer, thus obviating the conventional requirement for a bleed system to provide boundary layer control.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2009Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: MBDA UK LimitedInventor: Clifford John Richards
