  • Publication number: 20020138421
Abstract: An on-line financing application service (FAS) is equipped with functionalities to enable multiple funding sources to create multiple financing program offerings on-line. The FAS also facilitates the funding sources to selectively associate selected ones of the financing program offerings to multiple brokers/vendors, who in turn may create derivative financing program offerings, apply for financing, apply on behalf of their clients, or facilitate direct application by their clients, under selected ones of the financing program offerings on-line. The FAS is also equipped to allow an application submitted for consideration under a financing program offering to be automatically approved or referred to another rate sheet for quoting, another financing program offering of the same/different funding source/broker for consideration. In one embodiment, the automatic approval or referral is based at least in part on the business profile and credit information of the applicant.

  • Patent number: 6145895
Abstract: A sleeve for coupling together two fluid-handling conduits includes a compressible and resilient tubular core and a protective fabric cover which covers at least portions of the outer surface of the core and is substantially inexpansible in the radial and circumferential directions so as to resist radial and circumferential expansion of the core. The core is preferably a cellular elastomeric foam and the fabric cover advantageously is integrally molded into the core. The core is sized slightly smaller in diameter than the conduits to be joined so that it is expanded radially when installed onto a conduit. Expansion of the core is resisted by the fabric cover, and thus the core is radially compressed and provides a continuous restoring force urging the sleeve against the conduit.

  • Patent number: 5895194
Abstract: A method and apparatus for loading a traveling bulk container with bulk material. The bulk container is moved in a traveling direction underneath a loading chute. A bulk material stream is put into motion while the bulk container is being moved in the traveling direction underneath the loading chute. The bulk container is loaded with bulk material in the bulk material stream while the bulk container is moving along in the traveling direction underneath the loading chute, and is further substantially completely loaded in a front region thereof close to a front edge thereof with the bulk material. The bulk material stream is constricted at a front side thereof when the bulk material stream is put into motion thereby forming a constriction in the bulk material stream. The constriction in the bulk material stream is opened so as to follow a movement of the bulk container until the bulk material stream flows into the bulk container without the constriction.

  • Patent number: 5775656
Abstract: A shelf holder has a first component which supports the underside of the shelf and a second component which grips the top of the shelf, being tightened by screws. The component slides vertically relative to the component, and has feet which project through vertical openings in a wall-engaging part of the first component, the feet having slots which engage the sides of the openings and provide stability. In order to conceal the mechanism, there is a top cover piece which clips over the top lip and a bottom cover piece in two parts, the first of which lies on top of the support part of the first component and the second of which conceals the bottom portion of the shelf holder.

  • Patent number: 4019831
Abstract: The hollow interior of the blade is lined with a hollow insert and ribs to define a plurality of flow passages of narrow cross-section which connect a cooling-air chamber in the blade root with a cooling-air chamber in the blade tip. The chamber in the blade tip communicates with the interior of the insert and orifices are formed in the insert to exhaust air via a perforated partition through the trailing edge of the blade. The hollow insert is anchored in the blade root in various manners.

  • Patent number: 4018313
Abstract: In a wedge type actuator assembly in which the cage assembly in which the rollers are captive is not captive to the wedge member, an aperture in the housing through which the cage assembly is inserted during assembly of the actuator is shaped to allow insertion of the cage assembly only when it is correctly orientated with respect to the housing. A washer provided with a shaped aperture to receive the wedge member is keyed against rotation in a circular aperture in the housing and the washer ensures that the wedge member cannot be inserted into the housing when it is misorientated by 90.degree. about its axis of movement.
