  • Patent number: 10834029
Abstract: In automatically modifying message signatures, a system extract message content from the message text from a sender to a recipient. Using at least the message content, the system determines: a relationship context capturing a nature of the relationship between the sender and the recipient, a temporal context capturing temporal features of the message content, a historical context capturing a nature of electronic interactions between the sender and the recipient over time, and a tone category capturing a primary tone and strength of the primary tone of the message content. The system selects a signature template associated with contextual data that includes the relationship, temporal, and historical contexts and the tone category. The signature template includes a set of sections where a signature is modified by inserting section values associated with the contextual data into the set of sections. The modified signature is inserted into the message text.

  • Patent number: 10827968
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system, and program product for event detection and/or notification of events occurring. A user monitoring system sends messages based on determinations of impacts associated with the user. The monitoring system receives data from at least one computing device affixed to a user. The data corresponds to a pattern of movement of the user. The monitoring system determines that the user is performing an activity that has an associated known pattern of impacts. The system generates a customized pattern of impacts for the activity by modifying the known pattern of impacts based on the pattern of movement of the user. The system generates a message based on a comparison of measured movement data of the user and the customized pattern of impacts.

  • Patent number: 10832071
Abstract: A system comprises a processor configured to execute instructions to receive an indication of an occurrence of a human gesture and to perform an analysis of the indication of the occurrence of the human gesture to determine contextual criteria having a relationship to the occurrence of the human gesture. The processor may determine a meaning of the human gesture based at least in part on the contextual criteria and a plurality of possible intended meanings for the human gesture. The processor also may execute an instruction respective to determining the meaning of the human gesture, wherein at least a portion of the instruction is dependent upon the meaning of the human gesture.

  • Patent number: 10831262
Abstract: A technique for dynamic augmented reality media creation includes an analysis of reality content received by a device. Augmentation data is identified based on the analysis of the reality content, and then the augmentation data is displayed to the user via the device. A capture module determines whether the reality content meets capture event criteria and, if the criteria is met, augmented reality content is created and captured prior to a display of the augmentation data to the user.

  • Publication number: 20200342053
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to identifying spans within unstructured electronic text. Natural language content is received. A part of speech and slot name of each word within the natural language content is identified. A parse tree representation is then generated based on the natural language content, wherein visual characteristics of each node of a plurality of nodes within the parse tree representation depend on the part of speech and slot name of each word. A bounding box identifying a span category is then generated around a set of nodes on the parse tree representation by a machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20200334296
Abstract: A method and system are provided for implementing enhanced cognitive searches optimized to integrate deployment with development testing. An initial body of works is ingested into a system capable of answering questions. A series of queries is analyzed against the initial body of works utilizing a set of scorers utilizing criteria to form assessments, wherein each scorer uses the criteria against the query and the initial body of works to form the assessment. The assessments are analyzed to determine a usefulness of a set of entries in the initial body of works. Content are deployed using the identified selected first set of entries as deployment ready, enabling enhanced cognitive search results.

  • Patent number: 10770171
Abstract: A computer system utilizes a dataset to support a research study. One or more regions of interestingness are determined within a model of a first set of data records that are authorized for the research study by associated entities. A second set of data records is represented within the model, wherein the second set of data records are relevant for supporting objectives of the research study after de-identification. Records from the second dataset that are particularly useful for supporting objectives of the research study are identified, and authorization is requested from the corresponding entities of the identified data records from the second set of data records. After receiving authorization, those records are included with the first set to generate a resulting dataset. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and program product for processing requests for health information in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Patent number: 10755182
Abstract: A method for training a question answering system includes providing training questions to a question answering system executing on a computer and to a plurality of subject matter experts. The question answering system generates first answers to each training question. Second answers to the training questions are received from the subject matter experts. Feature scores for each of the first answers and the second answers are generated and compared across the second answers and the first answers. Each of the feature scores is representative of a quality of an answer that is indicative of relevance to a corresponding training question. Based on the comparing, a measure of consistency of the feature scores of the second answers is determined, and a measure of consistency of the feature scores of the second answers to the first answers is determined. The measures of consistency are transmitted to the subject matter experts.
