Abstract: A technique for detecting malware involved loading known malware information, finding a string in the known malware information, saving the string in a first database, identifying a first contiguous string block from the known malware information, assigning a confidence indicator to the first contiguous string block, attempting to find the first contiguous string block in a second database containing one or more contiguous string blocks extracted from known malware, and labelling the first contiguous string block, responsive to a determination the first contiguous string block meets a predetermined threshold of similarity with a second contiguous string block contained in the second database.

Abstract: A stamped steel detectable warning tile and method of forming such is described that includes preforming structures in the tile and subsequently coining the structures to form tactile portions to provide satisfactory end results. Further, the tactile portions can be formed in a staggered fashion along a press to distribute tonnage and extend the lifespan of the press, as well as control a curvature of the tile due to the press operations.

Abstract: A method of allowing a remote client to control a garden plot is described. The garden plot may be provided with electronically controlled watering devices for remote watering of the garden plot and a 360 degree zoom camera for remote viewing of the gardening plot. The method may include an application server for receiving client instructions, one or more modules for optimizing a planting layout, handling watering instructions, handling camera instructions, handling harvesting instructions, and conducting a virtual and/or local farmer's market to maximize use of the harvest.

Abstract: A jaw member for a surgical instrument includes a structural body including a proximal flange portion and an elongated distal portion extending distally from the proximal flange portion. The elongated distal portion includes a base and first and second sidewalls extending from either side of the base along at least a portion of a length of the elongated distal portion. A jaw liner is engaged with the base of the elongated distal portion and defines a tissue-contacting surface. The first and second sidewalls extend beyond the tissue-contacting surface of the jaw liner and are configured to facilitate gripping tissue between the structural body and an opposed structure. A surgical instrument including such a jaw member is also provided.

Abstract: A visible light sensor may be configured to sense environmental characteristics of a space using an image of the space. The visible light sensor may be controlled in one or more modes, including a daylight glare sensor mode, a daylighting sensor mode, a color sensor mode, and/or an occupancy/vacancy sensor mode. In the daylight glare sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to decrease or eliminate glare within a space. In the daylighting sensor mode and the color sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to provide a preferred amount of light and color temperature, respectively, within the space. In the occupancy/vacancy sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to detect an occupancy/vacancy condition within the space and adjust one or more control devices according to the occupation or vacancy of the space. The visible light sensor may be configured to protect the privacy of users within the space via software, a removable module, and/or a special sensor.

A brake torque is calculated as a function of a propulsive torque, wherein the propulsive torque is produced by a power source for the vehicle. The brake torque is applied when the longitudinal acceleration signal exceeds a longitudinal acceleration threshold, the intended travel angle signal is between intended travel angle limits, the wheel speed signal is less than a minimum speed threshold, the requested drive torque signal exceeds a requested drive torque threshold, and a torque threshold is exceeded.

Abstract: A services platform acts as an intermediary between an existing enterprise analytic environment, and one or more underlying cloud service providers. The platform provides enterprise “big data-as-a-service,” by which an enterprise can seamlessly and easily provision new capacity for processing its analytic workload, and migrate data sources (e.g., data warehouse marts, enterprise data warehouses, analytic sandboxes, and the like) to the cloud for processing. The platform provides end-to-end enterprise class manageability of enterprise data assets, from data collection, aggregation, movement, staging and processing, all while providing service levels, security, access and governance. The platform integrates directly but seamlessly into the enterprise analytic stack, and existing analytics applications work as normal. The platform provides a way for the enterprise to translate its workloads into clusters of compute resources that meet its service level requirements.

Abstract: Physical space is allocated to members of a group to maximize collaborative efforts. Each member of the group is determined based on presence or detection of a wireless device. As the members of the group are wirelessly detected, physical space may be assigned based on historical usage, calendar entries, physical needs, and infrastructure traits. Desks, office space, conference rooms, and other facilities may thus be dynamically reserved to maximize collaboration and yet efficiently utilize existing physical spaces.

Abstract: A patient alarm application provides a way for allowing clinical personnel to monitor and control patient-specific alarm settings. A user interface allows clinical personnel to compare graphical representations of unit population vital signs data with patient-specific vital signs data as well timelines of alarms for the patient. Analysis of the alarm data allows the user interface to show clinical personnel the estimated effects of changes to alarm threshold settings.

Abstract: Networked initiation systems for hold-down and release mechanisms (HDRMs) are described. The systems include a control unit, a plurality of firing control units operably connected to and in communication with the control unit, wherein each firing control unit has at least one HDRM operably connected thereto, and wherein each firing control unit is individually addressable by the control unit over an interface bus to enable selective operation of the HDRMs operably connected to the firing control units.

Abstract: A launch monitor having a camera can be used to measure a trajectory parameter of a ball. In one example, a method can include changing a mode of the camera from a low-speed mode to a high-speed mode. The camera can include an image sensor array having a plurality of pixels. The camera can generate a video frame using more pixels in the low-speed mode than in the high-speed mode. A first video frame can be received, the video frame comprising values captured during the high-speed mode from a first subset of the plurality of pixels. A second video frame can be received, the video frame comprising values captured during the high-speed mode from a second subset of the plurality of pixels. The trajectory parameter of the ball can be calculated using the first video frame and the second video frame.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to deploying and utilizing a dynamic record identification and analysis computer system with event monitoring components. A computing device may receive account reconnaissance data identifying a first plurality of user accounts that have experienced at least one event associated with account security concern characteristics. The computing platform may analyze event history data associated with the first plurality of user accounts to identify one or more common interactions associated with a subset of the first plurality of user accounts. The computing platform may identify a point of compromise among the subset of the first plurality of user accounts. Subsequently, the computing platform may search enterprise user account records to identify a second plurality of user accounts that have at least one event associated with the point of compromise. The computing platform may add the second plurality of user accounts to an alert table.

Abstract: Example clearing systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a financial management system calculates an initial margin and a variation margin associated with a financial transaction and provides the initial margin and the variation margin to a workflow. The financial management system pledges securities associated with the initial margin to a central counterparty clearinghouse (CCP). If a futures commission merchant (FCM) is in deficit, the financial management system initiates a debit pull of the variation margin from the FCM. If the FCM has variation margin excess for a particular day, the financial management system initiates a credit push from the CCP to the FCM.
