  • Publication number: 20220140967
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for a user equipment (UE) for a wireless communication system. The UE determines at least one sidelink primary synchronization signal (S-PSS) sequence of at least one S-PSS signal. The at least one S-PSS sequence is different from a primary synchronization signal (PSS) sequence. The EE also determines at least one sidelink secondary synchronization signal (S-SSS) sequence of at least one S-SSS signal. The EE determines a plurality of S-PSS symbols and a plurality of S-SSS symbols corresponding to a sub carrier spacing (SCS). The EE transmits to another EE the determined plurality of S-SSS symbols after the determined plurality of S-PSS symbols. The SCS may be associated with a physical resource block (PRB) allocation size. A maximum of 11 PRBs for a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) may be set based on the SCS.

  • Publication number: 20220116252
Abstract: For single carrier based waveform, Discrete Fourier Transform-spread-OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM) and single carrier with a frequency domain equalizer (SC-FDE) can be considered for both DL and UL. For OFDM based transmission scheme including DFT-s-OFDM, a cyclic prefix (CP) is inserted at the beginning of each block, where the last data symbols in a block is repeated as the CP. Typically, the length of CP exceeds the maximum expected delay spread in order to overcome the inter-symbol interference (ISI). For SC-FDE transmission scheme, a known sequence (guard interval (GI), unique word (UW), etc.) can be inserted at both the beginning and end of one block. Further, a linear equalizer in the frequency domain can be employed to reduce the receiver complexity. Compared to OFDM, SC-FDE transmission scheme can reduce Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and thus allow the use of less costly power amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20220116911
Abstract: Systems and methods of increasing paging opportunities when the unlicensed band is used are described. The gNB sends an RRC message that indicates multiple monitoring occasions in a paging occasion of a paging frame. The UE monitors a monitoring occasion of a PO to determine whether a PDCCH with a P-RNTI has been received in an unlicensed band. If such a PDCCH is received, the UE decodes PDSCH information in the PDCCH to determine whether the P-RNTI is a P-RNTI of the UE. If so, the UE avoids monitoring subsequent monitoring occasions of the PO. If the PDCCH does not contain a P-RNTI, the UE continues to monitor other monitoring occasions within the PO.

  • Publication number: 20220116129
Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for measuring and/or reporting UE-to-UE crosslink interference (CLI). In some embodiments, a communication network may use transmission reception points (TRPs) to facilitate communications for user equipment (UE). A first TRP may command a first UE to transmit a crosslink interference reference signal (CLI-RS) according to a particular time behavior. A second TRP may command a second UE to measure UE-to-UE CLI using the CLI-RS and the time behavior. The second UE may then report the measured CLI indicating a level of interference caused by the first UE.
