  • Patent number: 7126791
Abstract: The recording medium cartridge includes a cartridge case containing a recording medium and a noncontact-type memory having an IC section for storing information and performing signal processing and an antenna section for transmitting and receiving signals. In one cartridge, the antenna section of the memory is placed in a region furtherest from metallic parts. In other cartridge, the memory is mounted in an accommodation portion recessed one step relative to a surrounding portion, in such a way that a portion of an inner wall of a real area for accommodating a magnetic tape corresponding to the recording medium is formed, in such a position as to be exposed when the cartridge is loaded into a drive, or in recess formed in an outer surface of a case. The cartridge label is attached to the cartridge and contains the noncontact-type memory.

  • Patent number: 7121494
Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge includes a cartridge casing formed by upper and lower casing halves connected together, and a single reel around which a magnetic tape with a leader pin fixed to the leading end of the magnetic tape is wound and which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation. The leader pin is removably held in a tape draw-out opening with its axial direction directed in the vertical direction under urging force of a spring member acting on its upper and lower end portions sideways with the upper and lower end portions received in recesses respectively formed in the upper and lower casing halves. An inclined surface directed obliquely downward is formed at least a part of the side wall of the recess formed in the upper casing half opposed to the direction in which the spring member urges the leader pin.

  • Patent number: 7097126
Abstract: A single reel with magnetic tape wound thereon is housed in a case. A restraining member, for restricting rotation of the reel by moving toward or away from the reel, is urged in a restraining direction by an urging member. The pushing-up portions of a releasing member are inserted into the through holes bored in the reel gear of the reel 2 so that the lower ends can abut a driving gear. The releasing member moves the restraining member in a releasing direction by moving according to the chucking operation of drive-side rotation drive means. In this manner, reel-rotation restraining means allows rotation of the reel when being used and restricts the rotation when not being used. In this construction, each of the through holes is bored between the tooth edges of the reel gear so that the releasing member can perform a reliable releasing operation.

  • Patent number: 7089920
Abstract: In a diagnostic apparatus for an evaporative emission control system having a fuel tank is hermetically sealed under negative pressure on the basis of target inner pressure, and leak of the evaporative emission control system is judged when a diagnosis value based on a pressure variation amount after the hermetical sealing under at least negative pressure is larger than a judgment value, ECU estimates an evaporated fuel generated amount on the basis of a tank inner pressure value at the start time of a diagnosis. When the evaporated fuel generated amount thus estimated is large, target inner pressure Pteb is set to a high value, and when the evaporated fuel generated amount thus estimated is small, the target inner pressure Pteb is set to a low value.

  • Patent number: 7088552
Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge includes a cartridge casing and a single reel which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation. A brake member of the magnetic cartridge is provided with a brake gear and is movable up and down between an operative position and a retracted position. The reel is provided with a reel gear which is brought into mesh with a drive gear of a tape drive mechanism and a through hole through which a push rod extending from a brake release member projects to be brought into abutment against the drive gear of the tape drive mechanism so that the brake release member moves the brake member to the retracted position. The through hole opens in an area which is slightly wider than tips of teeth of the reel gear, wherein the area includes a pair of opposed flanks of the reel gear which form a valley.

  • Patent number: 7085101
Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge includes a cartridge casing and a single reel which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation. The reel has a reel hub in the form of a cylindrical member which has a bottom wall and is provided with an opening and a stopper gear formed on the bottom wall. A brake member is provided with a brake gear and is movable up and down between an operative position where the brake gear is brought into engagement with the stopper gear to prevent rotation of the reel and a retracted position where the brake gear is disengaged from the stopper gear to permit rotation of the reel. The brake member is normally urged toward the operative position and moved to the retracted position by a pusher member of a tape drive system which acts on the brake member through the opening in the reel hub when the magnetic tape cartridge is loaded in the tape drive system.

  • Patent number: 7077352
Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge with an improved reel-rotation restraining mechanism is disclosed. The reel-rotation restraining mechanism has a reel locking member, which is movable toward and away from the reel, for restricting rotation thereof; an urging member for urging the reel locking member in a restraining direction; and an releasing member, which is rotatable integrally with the reel, for moving the reel locking member in an unlocking direction by moving according to a chucking operation of a rotation drive mechanism of a drive unit. The releasing member has three leg portions on the vertexes of a triangular plate portion insertable into through holes in the reel. The releasing member is sized so that with part of the releasing member inserted into a center opening of the reel, and two of the three leg portions positioned near the through holes, the remaining one leg portion can be dropped and inserted within the center opening.

  • Patent number: 7044587
Abstract: An actuator 1 in which a displacement element 7 has a piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 and a pair of electrodes 5, 6 interposing therebetween the piezoelectric ceramic layer 4. The entire thickness of the actuator 1 is 100 ?m or less. The piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 and the substrate 2 have as their principal component a perovskite crystal containing at least Pb; Zr and Ti, and, the maximum difference in a composition ratio Pb/(Ti+Zr) between the surface of the piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 and the inside of the substrate 2 is 0.02 or less. This reduces characteristic variation.

  • Patent number: 7016152
Abstract: A single-reel magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge casing and a single reel around which a magnetic tape is wound and which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation, in which the magnetic tape is fixed at the leading edge thereof to a leader pin employed for extracting the magnetic tape from the cartridge and the flanges at the upper and lower ends of the leader pin are engaged by the lateral drawing force of a latch spring removably held in the tape cartridge casing. Even for cases in which there is a deviation in the insertion position in which leader pin is inserted by the record and playback apparatus, etc. causing the entry path of the leader pin into the cartridge casing to be off track, etc., it is still possible for the leader pin to be inserted into the cartridge casing.

  • Publication number: 20050241377
Abstract: The present invention provides a diagnostic apparatus for an evaporative emission control system which can accurately execute leak diagnosis under a stable condition. An ECU clocks a time td2 until the internal pressure value Pte of the evaporative emission control system sealed at the negative pressure reaches the target internal pressure value Pd, sets the pressure change measuring time te2 based on the clocking time td2, and measures the pressure change amount P1 which varies after the internal pressure value Pte of the evaporative emission control system reaches the target internal pressure value Pd for a pressure change measuring time te2. Then, the ECU sets the determination value Pth0 based at least on the spatial capacity of the evaporative emission control system, and determines whether the evaporative emission control system is normal or abnormal based on the pressure change amount P1.
