Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge includes a cartridge case, a single tape reel, and a tape leader pin. The cartridge case has a tape leader opening in the side wall thereof. The tape reel with magnetic tape wound thereon is rotatably housed within said cartridge case. The tape leader pin is firmly attached to the leading end of said magnetic tape and is detachably held near the tape leader opening by a spring member. The surface hardness of the sliding surface of the spring member with respect to said tape leader pin is made higher than that of the tape leader pin to prevent an increase in the sliding resistance between the sliding surface of the tape leader pin and the sliding surface of a leader-pin holding spring.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a magnetic tape cartridge including a reel-rotation restraining member which restricts rotation of a reel when not used and allows the rotation of the reel when used. The reel-rotation restraining member has a restraining member, an urging member, and an unlocking member. The restraining member has a restraining gear which meshes with a locking tooth portion, and the restraining member is supported by a support portion of the cartridge case. In the magnetic tape cartridge, the following relationship is met: b≦(2×a×c)/d where “a” represents the length of engagement between the restraining member in an unlocked state and the support portion, “b” represents the clearance between the restraining member and the support portion, “c” represents the space between the tooth of the restraining gear and the locking tooth portion, and “d” represents the outside diameter of the restraining gear.

Abstract: The present invention provides a production method of an optically active &bgr;-amino-&agr;-hydroxycarboxylic acid, which includes the following steps (a)-(c): (a) treating an optically active N-carbamate protected &bgr;-amino epoxide with an acid to give an optically active 5-hydroxymethyl-2-oxazolidinone; (b) oxidizing the resulting compound in the presence of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy and hypochlorite to give an optically active 4-benzyl-2-oxo-5-oxazolidinecarboxylic acid; and (c) treating the 4-benzyl-2-oxo-5-oxazolidinecarboxylic acid with a base, and a production method of an optically active N-carbamate protected &bgr;-amino-&agr;-hydroxycarboxylic acid which includes protection of the amino group with a carbamate type protecting group. The industrial production method of the present invention can produce these compounds efficiently.

Abstract: While an AUX-bus selecting operator is being operated beyond a predetermined time period, displays of channel-ON operators, normally indicating ON/OFF states of corresponding input channels, indicate ON/OFF states of signal delivery from the input channels to the AUX bus. Thus, a user can readily confirm, with minimized operation, the ON/OFF states of the signal delivery from the input channels to the second bus. Operating any one of the channel-ON operators in this state can change the ON/OFF state of the signal delivery from the corresponding input channel to the AUX bus. Further, operating the AUX-bus selecting switch while keeping operating the layer operator, current fader settings of the input channels can be copied as delivery levels of signals from the input channels to the AUX bus.

A restraining member, for restricting rotation of the reel by moving toward or away from the reel, is urged in a restraining direction by an urging member. The pushing-up portions of a releasing member are inserted into the through holes bored in the reel gear of the reel 2 so that the lower ends can abut a driving gear. The releasing member moves the restraining member in a releasing direction by moving according to the chucking operation of drive-side rotation drive means. In this manner, reel-rotation restraining means allows rotation of the reel when being used and restricts the rotation when not being used. In this construction, each of the through holes is bored between the tooth edges of the reel gear so that the releasing member can perform a reliable releasing operation.

A slide door for opening and closing a tape outlet opening is mounted on the cartridge casing to be linearly slidable along a door passage between a closing position where it closes the tape outlet opening and an opening position where it opens the tape outlet opening. A door spring for urging the slide door toward the closing position and holding the same in the closing position is disposed on the door passage.

The entire thickness of the actuator 1 is 100 &mgr;m or less. The piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 and the substrate 2 have as their principal component a perovskite crystal containing at least Pb; Zr and Ti, and, the maximum difference in a composition ratio Pb/(Ti+Zr) between the surface of the piezoelectric ceramic layer 4 and the inside of the substrate 2 is 0.02 or less. This reduces characteristic variation.
