Publication number: 20170270201Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, methods, and media for filtering a data stream are provided. The data stream is partitioned into a plurality of data stream segments. An acoustic parameter is measured in each of the data stream segments. It is determined whether the acoustic parameter satisfies a first predetermined condition. The first predetermined condition includes a number of variances, in which the acoustic parameter exceeds a predetermined variance threshold, exceeding a predetermined number threshold. An extraneous portion of the data stream is identified in which the first predetermined condition is satisfied. It is determined whether the extraneous portion satisfies a second predetermined condition in the data stream. The extraneous portion is deleted from the data stream to produce a filtered data stream in response to the second predetermined condition being satisfied.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2017Publication date: September 21, 2017Applicant: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Yeon-Jun KIM, I. Patent number: 9703865Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, methods, and media for filtering a data stream are provided. The data stream is analyzed based on an acoustic parameter to determine extraneous portions in which a first predetermined condition is satisfied. When a first extraneous portion is separated from a second extraneous portion by a non-extraneous portion in which the first predetermined condition is not satisfied, it is determined whether the first extraneous portion being separated from the second extraneous portion by the non-extraneous portion satisfies a second predetermined condition. At least one of the first extraneous portion and the second extraneous portion is deleted from the data stream to produce a filtered data stream in response to determining the second predetermined condition is satisfied.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2015Date of Patent: July 11, 2017Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Yeon-Jun Kim, I. Patent number: 9690854Abstract: Voice enabled dialog with web pages is provided. An Internet address of a web page is received including an area with which a user of a client device can specify information. The web page is loaded using the received Internet address of the web page. A task structure of the web page is then extracted. An abstract representation of the web is then generated. A dialog script, based on the abstract representation of the web page is then provided. Spoken information received from the user is converted into text and the converted text is inserted into the area.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2013Date of Patent: June 27, 2017Assignee: Nuance Communications, Inc.Inventors: Amanda Joy Stent, Hyuckchul Jung, I. Publication number: 20170140775Abstract: A method of detecting pre-determined phrases to determine compliance quality of an agent includes determining a presence of a predetermined input based on a comparison between stored pre-determined phrases and a received communication, and determining a compliance rating of the agent based on a presence of a pre-determined phrase associated with the predetermined input in the communication.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2017Publication date: May 18, 2017Applicant: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: I. Publication number: 20170118632Abstract: A method and apparatus for assigning a mobile device that is unassigned to a user are disclosed. Mobile phone numbers are used as a surrogate for device. For example, the method implemented via a processor obtains the phone number that is unassigned from a list of phone numbers associated with a billing account number, assigns the phone number that is unassigned to the user, wherein the user is selected from among a plurality of users associated with the billing account number, determines a confidence level for the assigning of the phone number that is unassigned to the user, and performs an analysis to provide a service for the user to whom the phone number is assigned.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2015Publication date: April 27, 2017Inventors: Jean-Francois Paiement, Sastry Isukapalli, Ann E. Publication number: 20170092261Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for crowd-sourced data labeling. The system requests a respective response from each of a set of entities. The set of entities includes crowd workers. Next, the system incrementally receives a number of responses from the set of entities until one of an accuracy threshold is reached and m responses are received, wherein the accuracy threshold is based on characteristics of the number of responses. Finally, the system generates an output response based on the number of responses.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2016Publication date: March 30, 2017Inventors: Jason Williams, Tirso Alonso, Barbara Hollister, Dan Melamed

Publication number: 20160299940Abstract: For fast creation of a gfs2 file system, a master metadata image of a master file system is used for generating a small file systems identical in structure in the gfs2 file system containing a large sequential file. Metadata is captured of the master file system and stored as the master metadata image. A utility function of the gfs2 file system is used for saving the master metadata image of the master file system as a compressed binary file.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2016Publication date: October 13, 2016Applicant: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Shachar ADIV, Liran LOYA, Dan MELAMED, Yossi YAMIN

Publication number: 20160247521Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for improving speech recognition accuracy using textual context. The method includes retrieving a recorded utterance, capturing text from a device display associated with the spoken dialog and viewed by one party to the recorded utterance, and identifying words in the captured text that are relevant to the recorded utterance. The method further includes adding the identified words to a dynamic language model, and recognizing the recorded utterance using the dynamic language model. The recorded utterance can be a spoken dialog. A time stamp can be assigned to each identified word. The method can include adding identified words to and/or removing identified words from the dynamic language model based on their respective time stamps. A screen scraper can capture text from the device display associated with the recorded utterance. The device display can contain customer service data.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2016Publication date: August 25, 2016Inventors: DAN MELAMED, SRINIVAS BANGALORE, MICHAEL JOHNSTON
