    Abstract: Techniques for topic extraction and opinion mining are described. For example, a machine accesses a document from a document record of a database. The machine builds a syntax tree of a sentence of the document based on parsing the sentence. The machine assigns a polarity impact to one or more words of the sentence. The machine determines that a plurality of words in the sentence have conflicting polarity based on the syntax tree and the polarity impact of the plurality of words. The machine determines a classification of the sentence based on the determining that the plurality of words in the sentence have conflicting polarity. The machine generates a classification record of the classification in the database.

The frequency synthesizer is configured for generating a first local oscillating signal and a second local oscillating signal, a frequency of the first local oscillating signal varying in a frequency range, each frequency corresponding to a sub-range of a coverage range scanned by the LFMCW radar structure. The first mixer is configured for mixing a copy of a transmitted signal and the first local oscillating signal to generate a first output signal (the receiver's first local oscillator). The second mixer is configured for mixing the first output signal and a received signal from a receiving antenna to generate a second output signal that includes an intermediate frequency (IF) signal being received by the first filter.

The system further includes an amplitude detection circuit configured to provide a signal mode detection signal, an amplifier switching circuit configured to adjust a variable input transconductance of at least one of the amplifier stages, and a load switching circuit configured to couple and decouple the stability resistor at the output of the audio amplifier circuit.

The SATCOM system DRA is designed with a game theoretic engine and link optimizations providing traffic control, power control, frequency hopping pattern selection, beamforming codebook selection, and modulation with coding agile waveform adaptations. The interferences mitigation design is implemented with software defined radio USRP and GNU-radio to maintain communication link quality of services (QoS).

A set of rules is obtained that include string similarity functions generated from character patterns that contain unconventional character sequences not included in user search queries. Marketplace listing information is obtained from a user, where the marketplace listing information includes a listing title. The listing title is analyzed using the set of rules to identify at least one character pattern in the listing title based on a similarity between the listing title and the at least one character pattern determined using at least one of the string similarity functions. A request for a new listing title is generated based on identifying the at least one character pattern in the listing title.

A sliding window energy detection test having a number of continuously-performed tests can be analyzed according to a desired cumulative false alarm rate to provide a corresponding, testing threshold. Based on the testing threshold and target signal to noise ratio, a testing window length is selected such that the sliding window energy detection is performed for a minimum expected discrete detection time. A sliding window energy detector can then obtain the selected testing window length and the corresponding, testing threshold for spectrum sensing. The sliding window energy detector includes a sampling unit, a detection probability analyzer, a testing statistic generator, a false alarm analyzer, a comparing unit, and a declaring unit.
