  • Publication number: 20050069191
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for composing a robust reference image or reference image with permissible deviation values of the exterior of a series of practically identical containers, such as bottles, crates and the like, comprising steps for: a) making an image recording of a part of the exterior of a plurality of containers from the series; b) processing the recorded image in order to obtain a first representation; c) composing a complete peripheral view of the exterior of the container on the basis of the first representations; d) determining, on the basis of all recorded images and parameters to be preset, the robust reference image of the container on the basis of which acceptable differences can be taken into account during selection of containers.

  • Publication number: 20050063037
Abstract: A circuit for implementing a registration-free, contiguous conductive plane. A circuit may include a plurality of conductive structures in a first plane. The circuit may further include a contiguous conductive equipotential surface in a second plane parallel to the first plane. The circuit may further include activation means configured to adjust an electric field between the first and second planes thereby activating one or more structures in the first plana by increasing a potential difference between the first and second planes to a threshold level deemed to constitute an active state. The circuit may further include deactivation means configured to adjust the electric field between the first and second planes thereby deactivating one or more structures in the first plane by decreasing the potential difference between the first and second planes below a threshold level deemed to constitute a deactivation state.

  • Publication number: 20040147268
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of identifying the location of a mobile entity supporting WAP functionality, comprising: transmitting a request for location information from an origin server to the mobile entity, receiving the location information from the mobile entity.

  • Publication number: 20020100236
Abstract: A space-dividing wall panel has glass panels mounted on opposite faces of the wall panel to permit viewing therethrough. Each glass panel is defined by a sheet of glass and edge rails extending about the periphery of the glass. The edge rails include fixing channels on opposite sides thereof which are press-fit onto respective edges of the glass without the use of a resilient gasket within the fixing channel.

  • Patent number: 5460645
Abstract: An aqueous surface sizing composition for sizing paper or paperboard having as essential components 50 to 70 pads of a water soluble or water dispersible hydroxylated polymer, an amount of a carboxylated polymer that is present relative to hydroxylated polymer in a ratio of 0.5:99.5 to 4:96 and not exceeding 7 pads carboxylated polymer, 0.3 to 3.0 pads of an alkali salt of a Group IV metal (e.g., zirconium, hafnium, and titanium), and sufficient water to obtain 1.5 to 2.0 percent total solids. The sizing compositions may further include polymeric additives, aqueous alkali, a pigment and a defoamer.

  • Patent number: 5362573
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved process of surface sizing of paper and paperboard. The process consists of:a) Preparing an aqueous surface sizing compound by combining and mixing an aqueous solution of at least one water soluble or dispersible polymer or interpolymer, a solution or dispersion of auxiliary materials, and an aqueous solution of a metal salt, selected from the group of metals consisting of zirconium, hafnium or titanium, to the polymer solution;b) Adjusting the pH of the aqueous sizing compound from about 5 to about 10.
