  • Publication number: 20240081799
Abstract: A clipping device includes a capsule including a longitudinal body and a cap mounted over a distal end thereof so that the cap is movable relative to the longitudinal body from a pre-deployed configuration to a deployed configuration in which the cap, is moved proximally relative to the longitudinal body to reduce a length of the capsule. A channel of the cap and a channel of the capsule are substantially aligned with respect to one another. At least proximal portions of a pair of clip arms are received within the channels of the cap and the longitudinal body so that the clip arms are movable relative to the capsule between an open configuration, in which distal ends of the clip arms are separated from one another, and a closed configuration, in which the distal ends of the clip arms are drawn toward one another.

  • Publication number: 20240086879
Abstract: A host device is included within a housing of a first peripheral; the host devices includes an internal connection within the housing to the first peripheral. Each composited integrated peripheral device includes two or more second peripherals. A combination of the host device, the composite integrated peripheral devices, standalone peripheral devices, and accessory modules is identified. Housings associated with the combination are attached to, placed on, or placed adjacent to one or more of the accessory modules of the combination. In an embodiment, accessory modules are arranged in a layout that defines a clearance area for custom access and the corresponding peripherals of the combination are connected to the host device. The host device processes self-service transactions for customers with disabilities using the corresponding peripherals and the accessory modules within the layout.

  • Patent number: 11926023
Abstract: A hand held electric pulse tool performs tightening operations in which torque is delivered in pulses to tighten a screw joint. The tool includes an output shaft and a sensor to determine a parameter value associated with tightening of the screw joint. The tool is operative to provide torque pulses on the output shaft in a tightening direction until a first parameter value associated with the tightening of the screw joint is reached, then pause the tightening during a first time interval, and then provide torque pulses on the output shaft in a loosening direction until a second parameter value is reached. Next the electrical pulse tool is operative to pause the tightening during a second time interval and provide torque pulses on the output shaft in the tightening direction until a third parameter value is reached.

  • Publication number: 20240075459
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of making an adsorbent material for protection and sensing applications from gas and liquid phase media by grafting sorbent moieties onto a rigid scaffold. The grafting can be to an organic linker of a metal organic framework by post synthetic modification, to the metal nodes of the metal organic framework via ligand displacement, or by intercalating the sorbent moiety into the pores of the metal organic framework either during formation of the scaffold or by diffusion into the pores after the scaffold is formed.

  • Publication number: 20240066444
Abstract: Liquid filter assemblies, features, components and methods are described. In general, a liquid filter cartridge is provided which includes features that help ensure that when the assembly is serviced, the cartridge positioned within the assembly is a proper one, in proper sealing orientation, for appropriate use. Features that can be used to provide for this include: a seal on the filter cartridge that defines a seal pattern non-orthogonal to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the filter cartridge; and, a member of a projection/receiver arrangement on the filter cartridge which is orientated to engage a portion of a liquid filter assembly, for example a liquid flow collar, to allow sealing when the cartridge is a properly positioned cartridge and a properly configured cartridge. Assembly features are described. Also, a flexible radial projection arrangement providing snap-fit interaction between a cartridge and housing is provided. Methods of assembly and use as described.

  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 11911627
Abstract: A method of using a medical device to take multiple electrocardiograms (ECG) and, if needed, to be converted into an automated external defibrillator (AED). The medical device is configured to take the ECG without deploying any AED electrode pad and, if convenient, to be held by a person so that the person can simply put fingers from both hands on two contacts to take the ECG. Alternatively, the two contacts may be placed on the person's bare skin. The medical device is configured to separate into two components: An AED body and a cartridge. A computer for viewing the ECG may be built into the medical device or may be connected to the medical device. Conversion of the medical device to an AED occurs by removing a first AED electrode pad and a second AED electrode pad from a flattened and stacked arrangement within the cartridge.
